stripe me pink...

Good afternoon friends , welcome to my room . Hope your day is as sunny and bright as Adelaide's is .If it is not then I send warm wishes your way.
I have a little stash of ironing that I really should do tonight , so posting now. Mind you , that is not to say I will  tackle the ironing tonight , just that I could  if nothing else comes up.
Today I share this little number.
Mmm ,  now that I see it in print I think that I will stamp the actual gift box in darker colour or on patterned  paper and piece it on original image , which is a bit pale...insipid really .
Recipe..
Lolly Stripes from Special Occasion Stationery.
Old Olive Tag embossed .
Whisper White card base and for image .
Ribbon from my stash .
dsp SU
image from Stamp-It
sentiment from Judith .
EDITED
I did change the gift box image ...and love the result

Actually just remembered I must make a card for " less is More " challenge.Might do that tonight ,there is nothing else  really pressing to do.....chuckle.

Catch you again soon , cheers for now ,Shirley-Anne.

Crafting certain sounds a lot better than ironing thats for sure!

I like the stiped paper with the checked ribbon.

Think you might be right though to restamp the image or even paper peice it.

Hmmm hey listen, if you think that pile of ironing of yours is not big enough to worry about I could send some down to you express post, lol.

  7. Hi Shirley-Anne,

I do like the restamped image, I have to say. Such a cute card... love the papers. You just have so much grace in your card making...

I am going to send you an email soon just to tell you how delighted I am with the parcel. I am in Singapore right now... but will send you an email at the first available instance.

I like the way you let card making take over ironing... what the hell? After all just eight clothes can wait, right? Only we understand the joy of crafting, right? I have sometimes even neglected my motherly and house-keeping duties for the sake of art. But it brings me so much joy and then I do other things much better. Just feel so charged up after doing a crafting activity.

Off to comment on another of your creations.

With big hugs and special thanks for your thoughtfulness,

    Monica
