Less is More note and others.

Hello blog pals .Hope you are enjoying your day ,whatever you are up to . Welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in to browse and I hope that you let me know where you are so that I can return the courtesy .
Fistly I'd like to share my entry into Less is More challenge .

MONOCHROME. And  I quote...
Encarta definition
mon·o·chrome [ mónnə krm ]
adjective
Definition:
1. in shades of one color: using or displaying only shades of one color or black and white.
You may choose any colour you wish, but please keep all the shades you use within your chosen spectrum.

My card is of Glossy White , while image , from Asian Artistry, and sentiment , stampendous are  inked in Basic Black . I used a blender pen to drag colour from edge of bird to colour body . I think it looks brownish in photo but IRL it is black . I created the larger  image by overlapping two images in the set.
Please stay with me as I would love for you to see the other two cards we did in our workshop this morning .

                                                                Recipe
Rose Red, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink.
                                                DSP, Lap of Luxury.
Faces from unknown set ...[Sandy 's help needed there in her comment ]
                                                      Sentiment , Well Scripted.
Inks Basic Black , Basic Grey .
Circle Punches , Label 18, Spellbinders.

This one was fun to make with Pacific Point card , Sahara Sand, Whisper White and DSP , Celebrations. This is the packet I want to see how many cards I could  from it. Hard to tell cause I have used small pieces like the striped layer here on 5 cards .  The best I can say  after using this pkt in  two workshops now , is LOTS ..
WOW this is the best post I have done for a while .I think that it is because I am still on a high from the wonderful card morning with 3 fabulous friends . Thanks girls .
And thanks to those who have stayed to the end of this post . I hope that you have found it worth the visit .
First card will be hopefully suitable for http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2011/06/week-18-colour-monochrome.html
Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.

Wow, a productive craft session I see. Three fabulous cards.

The first and last are my favourites. The first one is very stylish, I will definitely have to case this one. The third is fantastic, very simple layout but looks perfect.

  15. Hi Shirley-Anne,

Love your Less is More card... very classy.

And the other two cards are lovely as well but the second one of the two catches my fancy because of it's bright colours and and handtorn effect. Love your cards as ever.

Hope you and Doug are doing well.

Sorry I have been a bit caught up with home and hearth...
We are going away for three weeks to Europe on the 10th.
