Hot wheels

Hi there blogging friends .Welcome to my room . Hope it is better weather where you are . Cold , wet and windy here in Adelaide . Getting set for a quiet long weekend here in South Australia , Doug and I.
Have you planned any special event ? Of course it is The Big Footy Weekend too , with the finals being played in Melbourne .. YAH!!......not   sorry to the two teams involved . Just not my cup of tea!

Tonight I'm sharing a simple card to enter it into some challenges .

Card base is SU Confetti White
Pacific Point for the tag with Whisper White and Daffodil Delight
gingham ribbon from stash
                                                              image from Kaszazz
part sentiment from SU , I Dig You .
I really like using Confetti White as card base  when I don't intend to colour image on Whisper White because of how the  matte finish on base helps to make the Whisper White stand out more .And I used PP blue instead of say Brilliant Blue for the same reasoning . I deliberately left off colouring because I wanted to highlight "cool " glasses and portray image  as a sketch.
Goblygook you say?    no...seriously!
Would like to enter this into these challenges .

  2. I love the use of all the SU supplies, I'm a bit addicted to them myself. :D The fact that you left the image to look like a sketch is perfect! I love the outcome of this card very much.
    Nice work Shirley-Anne.

  5. A great, fun image, that really doesn't need any extra colour.
It's good to be back on the scene. I flew out of a rainy Birmingham on Monday, and now they have the hottest weekend of their year despite it being Autumn. What have we got here in Spain - rain!! At least it's not cold yet. Kate x

  8. Great card and I like how you haven't coloured the image...I have seen a bit of this happening in blogland and the images look wonderful uncoloured. I shipped my hubby down to Sydney with his sister and they are heading to the Manly GF. Hubby is a keen fan and never seen them live in a GF but sister is more a Cronulla or Newcastle supporter. Bonus is I don't have to watch a scrap of football this weekend. :-)

  13. Hi Shirley-Anne,

Glad that you scrap booked... how lovely and relaxing that sounds.

This card is great with or without the road. I do think the first option looks neater but they are both very nice.
    Love the clock.
