Wood grain and Vine

Hello , thank you for calling in . Welcome to my room where I hope that you like what you see .
Just another quick post to show a card I made to share at a workshop . I generally have 3 cards and kits to make and take for my friends on Tuesday morning but this week my mojo left me for the last set . So as I usually do, when this happens , I began to browse through my favourite magazine for inspiration .
And so I must acknowledge that I was inspired and motivated by a card by Carolyn Bennie, SA, shown in Readers gallery , Australian Cardmaking Stamping & PaperCraft.
Can't show you of course as I dont have permission from either parties .
But if Carolyn sees this and oks I'd love to share her card here

Chocolate Chip card base, Whisper White layer . Wood Grain image from KaiserCraft
stamped twice on light  tan cardstock. Inks were Creamy Caramel and Soft Suede.
The vine from KaiserCraft, inked in Garden Green . The Bird Collage from Hero Arts, inked with  basic Grey..The large silver brad is from SU

                                                                         inside

Here I stamped image in two colours again overlapping each stamping, on Very Vanilla card. .I used a torn rectangle of paper as a mask and stamped over it to give the sentiment /greeting blank place.
For a slapped up card and a little different from Carolyn's card , I really liked the end result .

Hope that you are enjoying the week and managing to get some crafting  in .
Would like to enter this card in a challenge or two

  7. Well for Pete's sake Shirley-Anne, if this is what is created with missing mojo then sign me up! I am thrilled with the outcome of your card. The earthy elements are wonderful together and I really, really love that you masked a focal point for your image. The green vintagy swirls add beautiful movement to your card. It's a fantastic piece of art and I'm so happy that you entered it over at Our Creative Corner.
Hope you're doing well and hugs to you my friend,
    Lisa xx

You must have been inspired as your Bg looks great, and using a mask for your image to make it one layer, is very effective, it is a very pretty card.
