Hi there .
Welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in and I hope you enjoy tonights card .
Boy , it was hot today . Had a great morning sharing cardmaking hints and tips to a fine bunch of ladies at the Round a bout .
I did have another senior moment though and had to make a quick trip home for a sheet of DSP that I had forgotton . Luckily Sandy took over while I was away for 10 minutes . Doug went off to have a coffee at the shopping centre across the road then spent the rest of the morning watching us stamp , cut , punch and glue .
Now this was not a card we made today, rather it is one we made earlier.
The card base is Naturals Ivory , SU.

The beautiful DSP on front and inside is one from the new sale.a.bration brochure , Every Day Enchantment Designer Series Paper . While the images are from Kaszazz , the sentiment is from , So Happy For You , SU.

Coloured pencils used to colour images , while Wild Wasabi ink , SU, was sponged around image and edge of inside panel .

Am a bit earlier tonight with posting so I may be able to visit some crafty pals and leave a little blog love before snuggling into bed.

I had Sandy and Fran here for afternoon craft on the Sunday and our new coffee machine had a good workout . I had made extra card kits for Jane so hope she gets them ok along with last Tuesdays that I forgot to send to her .
I'm sure that senior moments, for me , are becoming more frequent .

Using Publisher on my PC I created this page of stamps using the house , the snowman and the child pulling snowball as images on my" stamps" . Sorry this pic is not the same as the one at top.. same card just one is photographed and one is scanned .

Eat Cake

Hi there . Welcome to my room . Thank you so much for calling in .
Hope that all is right in your world .
Welcome to new follower Tan, hope we see each other again soon .
Still cool here but at least no wind or rain . Spent a bit longer in craft room today as Doug dozed a lot in his chair after a long gopher ride by himself yesterday . I dont think that he realises how mentally challenging it is for him , having to be alert and making decisions .
Any way onto my card for tonight .
Now , I dont think that this one is really finished yet because I am undecided as to wether to use flowers or rhinestones as embellishing . What I would have liked was a little whisk or spoon charm . So If and when I do decide on any additions I will edit this post .

The card base is a retired SU product , while paper is also SU , along with the Whisper White card on that image is stamped. Mouse image is Chef Amanda, Stampabilities. Scallop circle and circle punches SU used for sentiment .

Just a little cupcake and diecut frame for inside , with sentiment from SU, Well Scripted.

Now for a couple of blog visits before some research ...Craft magazine reading ...that is .

Butterfly and flowers

Hi there .
How are things for you on this Thursday ? Pretty good , I hope .

Thank you for popping in to see me .Welcome to my room .

The weather, here in Adelaide , has been quite pleasant lately . A little on the cool side but great for walking . And for Doug to gopher out on his own for short bursts of ...dare I say FREEDOM. That is , time out from the fussing I do around him most of the time .
Quite a bit of housework done today so am late into my room .
Thank heavens I have some completed cards in hand to share .This one is another Tuesday craft day make .

Inside

I began with a Very Vanilla card base with some patterned paper from a pad of 8"x8"papers bought many years ago in a cheap shop .The butterfly is from SU ..All a Flutter .

I am hoping to get some commenting done tonight . And may be a card made for next weeks Make it Monday . Oh and three more for Sunday fun .

Me thinks I should fly away . Hope that you like tonights card .

At this rate I will really make a dent in my craft stash .That will be less I have to move when I finally get to renovate my room . LOL

Tuesday and craft

Hope that you are happily crafting away there .

Thank you to new follower Manderly , who is definately developing a real fun style with her card making and who is new to blogging .

I began crafting , today , at The Round a bout , a Church run venue .

I missed going here last year as DH was not well enough to leave on his own after his stroke .

I had 6 ladies making up the kits I had prepared . It was a bit hectic as the table was placed in the wrong spot but next week should be better

Sandy and Fran ,who have followed me from pillow to post with card making were there and helped a lot by passing on hints and tips to the newbies who made up the numbers , while I was helping with stamping and layering . Thank you friends .

Using an idea I gleaned from a magazine , one of the cards for today was an easle card with papers from my stash and a stamp set from SU , Elements of Style .Card base is River Rock, SU

I kept the designs pretty simple with not much of a technique as I was not too sure how advanced the newbies were with craft .

Doug popped in to see us on his gopher after he had been for his coffee and then went home to turn the crockpot on to be ready for lunch when I got home .

I felt that the ladies had enjoyed making these kits up and I will share another tomorrow night

Tonight now , I will try to visit you and leave some blog love .

Hooray , here it is FRIDAY ..well into second month of the year , and the weekend is nigh.
Mind you every day is a weekend when you have retired . But I still enjoy weekends especially when I have friends over for craft . But then again I love Tuesdays too, when I have the likes of Sandy here for a little crafting . See what I mean ?

A Happy Day

Well , it's a happier me welcoming you tonight . Hi there . Hope that you enjoy your visit to my room and thank you for calling in . Greetings to Tracey , a new follower.
Yes , I am feeling so much better today and I am sure that it is, not in just a small way, due to warm wishes sent to me from my blog pals . So thank you .

Much cooler weather meant that I walked today , with Doug for our usual morning coffee. January break is now over so card making back in full swing ..hopefully creative mojo will stay with me .I am going back to " The Round a bout " venue where it looks as though I will have about 6 at my table .

I actually get out of the house for a couple of hours, you see .

Any way , if you have stayed here and are still awake here's the reason I opened my room tonight. This is another of the cards I shared with Sandy and Fran on Tuesday .
Front and ...you guessed it ..the inside too.

Saw this design in a magazine and changed the paper , embellishments and sentiment to make it my own ..

Most of the ingredients for this was found in my stash , on my table. I'm back to having about 12"x12" clear work space .Thank goodness my online friends cant see!! And Sandy and Fran and Jane [ my very best friends] dont mind crafting at the dining room table . LOL

Just quick post , tonight , of a card I shared with Fran and Sandy on Tuesday morning

This is my interpretation of a tent card seen in the same magazine .
I cant believe that I'm still keeping my NY Resolution to complete inside of card straight away.

There were two others but I'll share them another night ..
Actually It is a wonder I managed this post tonight as I have for the last three days been quite off colour. Don't know if it is something I ate or if I have picked up a nastie from somewhere .
But I have spent quite bit of time in the toilet . I even had to get up 6 times last night .On the bright side, I have lost 2kl in 3 days ..WHOOPIE ..NOT .

Has been so very hot here in Adelaide and I'm afraid that time in my room has been limited .

Doug and I happily celebrated Australia Day with a BBQ at Fran's [ a craft friend ] place . Fran and her DH really went out of their way to accomodate Doug with his wheel chair and he appreciated everything , having a great day.

Flowers for you

Hi . Welcome to my room . Hope you are having a good week . Friday tomorrow . Is it the end of the working week for you?

Are you planning anything special for the weekend?

Doug and I will drive to a shopping centre a bit further from home , tomorrow morning , for coffee and scones .That is our Friday treat . It is a B&B coffee place and their scones are to die for . I think their secret is that they don't cut the dough into usual scone shape . Instead they roll a piece of scone dough in hands and place small ball on tray. Then they brush all over top and sides with milk and egg mix . MmmM !! I wonder if Michelle will know if I skip my diet ....

I had some fun time in my room today and now have a card to share .

This Sizzix gate fold die is a well used one of mine , along with Flower Layer Set.

Inside with right gate held with clip. And showing front with gates closed.

The Teddie with flowers image is from a free set " All Occasions" that came with a magazine .

The little tag for sentiment is a KaiserCraft product . I coloured with Copics .

WE were lucky to be given some images to play with and here is my card to share, along with the inside image .

Image is Bird's Little Letter. Now this particular image is already coloured .It is the first precoloured digi image that I have used . I can imagine that these would be fab idea for when you are in need of a quick card made .

I printed image and circle diecut it out .I began with basecard of Pacific Point.I embossed a piece of Bashful Blue card with a Deco Burst folder and trimmed to just smaller than card front .I adhered this to card front with a small border and in the centre I added the image with foam tape and added 1/2 pearls around scallops.
I hope that you like it as I really enjoyed creating this .

Quilling is so far from my comfort zone and my big fat fingers .When I went to pinch a tear drop shape I ~~made~~ tried to make once, it looked more like a puddle ..LOL . I admire the finished projects like Helen's though.

Hi there , welcome to my room .Well ,thank you and you oh and you too , for calling in .Hope you enjoy your visit .Just a quick post tonight because it is almost Thursday .

The weather has cooled off a little and Doug and I welcome that .We tend to hibernate when temp gets above 35 degrees and too hot to gopher anywhere .That means Doug gets cabin fever and fidgety.

We went out as usual today to have our usual coffee then took our little Jack Russsel dog named Jacki..,.yeah I know real original, to the park for a run .After a quick lunch I commented on a few blogs and made this little vintage card .

Welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in .Hope you take a minute to say hi .

The first thing I must do is to thank all who emailed, blogged or went on FB to wish me a Happy Birthday .

You bloggers really are a wonderful bunch of people .

Thankfully it certainly was a bit cooler today in Adelaide and just as well because Doug and I must be getting old . The 40 degree heat really knocked us about a bit .

To share tonight I have a card I made instead of a late Christmas card .

This has a white card base , some floral paper , a premade topnote diecut both from my stash
The book is from Chocolate Chip SU and image from SU set , Morning Cup .

The now open book is a diecut .

And for the inside I used the next size up in the diecut .

So why the cups instead of wine glasses or beer mugs ...because Doug and I dont drink either but do love to share a coffee ....lots of coffee as our friends and family know .

A Sparkling Ale for Birthday

Whew a warm one today .
A prelude to Christmas day , weather man says .
Hi there , welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .
Doug and I went for our usual coffee early this morning to beat the heat . We have been out at different times of the day as of late to several of the centres that are near us and were surprised at how quiet the shopping centres are and how meagre the Christmas decorations are adorning the malls .There was also a distinct lack of Christmas Carols being played everywhere . .
Need an earlier night tonight so am sharing this card now , that I made for my card ladies Sandy and Jane .
I think it is called a tent card or a teepee shape card or at least my version of . LOL

Bashful Blue for card base and Whisper White for image . Gold sentiment sticker and gold border sticker

A pink marker for wine colour and KindyGlitz for sparkle.

I had only added border to the sides but after a suggestion from Sandy , I placed some around the bottom of front panel as well to finish.

And to show the other sides I've laid the card flat .

As you can see photo was taken before adding extra gold border sticker to bottom .

A balloon , coloured with Pumpkin Pie ink and paper pieced . The gift box on other side is coloured with green marker .
This was fun to make and would like to make another but use some DSP on side panels next time .

I have a new computer and have spent the afternoon playing .I did not realise how slow my old pc was ...well I guess I did but chose to not mind .

My clever supplier of my new pc will take my hard drive from old pc and place it in this one so that i can still access all my photos and other hobby stuff ..wonderful

We have had some rough weather here in Adelaide , yesterday and last night . Hope all clears away for next weekend .
I see that the number of entries for Make it Monday were down last week , probably due to upcoming festive Christmas celebrations and the extra workload that brings . BUT , I kid you not ! Hello everyone , welcome to my room . Hope that all is good in your life .

WHOOPIE >>I see I have had 25,000 hit/ visits to my blog .I have hits set so my visits don't count , so I appreciate all each and every one of those .
As a bit of stress relief I did make a card this afternoon .

Card base is Pacific Point , Whisper White mat then DSP from Subtles Collection .
I shaded / sponged centre of striped piece with White ink then Brocade Blue on edges .
The balloons and pup are from stamp sets in my stash . The pup was stamped in black onto paper then again on white card . I sponged Basic grey ink around base of 1st pup image to give shadow.
The second image is 3D on top of first .

The balloons were also stamped on striped piece first , then in coloured ink on white card ,cut out and paper pieced onto 1st stamping .The inside is similar design.

Ok now I feel better . And , I have enjoyed your company ,thanks for calling in .

Thursday Frustration

Hi every one .Welcome to my room .Just having blogger problems .
I broke one of my computer rules today and clicked on something before checking around friends to see if it works /if they like it first and whammo!!, trouble and I cant seem to reverse .
So if I am missing for a while please forgive me and I'll try to come back pronto .I clicked on try new blogger interface and this new page format has turned up and I dont like it ..I cant use all the old features like change design or add gadgets
...AAAHHHH!!and to make matters worse I changed internet options and some where along the line I have lost all my saved sites that I visit
Now at top of page I have message that reads your browser is no longer supported by Blogger

Is it just four weeks to Christmas ? No way ..cant be !! Let me check..
OH ME... OH MY , It's true . There have been times this past 12 months, while Doug was fully dependant on me , when I thought that time was dragging by . Hi there every-one .Welcome to my room .Hope that your weekend has been wonderful and that you and yours are enjoying good health . I've had a quiet time as there were no craft classes either day .Therefore I have managed a fair bit of stamping and blog browsing . But of course Doug saw his chance to plead for more time out walking [ him gophering] to our parks which I love to do anyway .

One of the projects I managed to finish was my ATC, as DT member and post for the new challenge at ATC Challenge blog .Background paper , corner punch and lace from SU . Flower , brad and Sweet tag from stash . Hope you like .

ATC stands for Artists trading card which were originally given by artists as a sample of their works. They are bits of card that measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches exactly. You decorate one side using a range of techniques and then write on the back a title for it, the date and who its made by.
It is early days yet for this fledging challenge blog and only a few entries so your chances of winning are some what higher .

My card for today is another CAS card as is my style .I really did try to add some embellishments but had nothing nautical so left it as is .

All card and ink  are from SU, the base card being Pacific Point . The background DSP is Nautical Expidition SU , and all images from The Open Sea, set SU .
This card will be for our coffee maker at the cafe Doug and I go to every morning for our hot and strong flat white . One of few places that accommodate a gopher .

A craft morning

Hi there blogging pals . Welcome to my room . A glorious day here in Adelaide .A few light showers in the morning but not heavy enough to keep Doug indoors . He went off on his gopher while I set up my craft table ready for Fran and Sandy . We had a lovely morning crafting while chatting about this and that .it was funny but every now and then something would be said that reminded one or all of us about the words of a song .I think we went through all the tunes in the movie ' South Pacific '. A senior moment here ,,help me out Sandy I think that was the name .You know the one with the song " I'm going to wash that man right outa my hair" And we would all burst into song and laughter.
Any way these are the cards we made today .
no recipe really just what was handy ..

Here's hoping that where ever you are , the weather is being as kind .
My card shared today is one I made with some friends the other day .
I imagined the lady in this image is contemplating what her future holds .

Now I am sorry but this was made from part sheets of paper and card and I cant remember from whence they came . The sentiment however , is from Hero Arts . The image is from Stampendous , a cling rubber image .A diecut set was used for frames , while the flowers and bow are from my stash .

I am hoping this card will be suitable for these challenges .

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Hello everyone . How are you all ? Wow, it was very hot here in Adelaide today so it was a rest day , no excersion for Doug . Then its back to cooler weather tomorrow ...never know what clothes to put out for next day here ..

Welcome to my room tonight for just a quick post . I had in my stash a few images that I have cut from old ..and I mean really old , dress making patterns . I used some Sizzix adhesive sheet because image is so thin that any other glue might have torn it .

Hello everyone .Hope that you and yours are well and happy . Welcome to my room , where I share just a few of the cards I make . My style is CAS , and I rarely venture too far from my comfort zone . Having said that I hope that you enjoy your visit here .
Twelve months ago Doug suffered a major stroke . Many of my followers will remember .
I will dedicate this post to my Husband, Doug, as we celebrate his continuing recovery and him being a stroke survivor . Each day is a" special day "to us both and we choose to celebrate every day !

The card I have today says it all .When Michelle , our Daughter was here, just recently with her family ,we all went to the Zoo . That was a major outing with family for Doug , hence the animals ..

I used markers to colour

This was one of my kits shared with Fran and Sandy on Tuesday . I think Sandy and I were having senior moments [Although I am much older than Sandy ] as we both forgot to colour the wheels in on our images at first and had to redo . Much raucus laghter was the result and Doug said he could hear us all the way down the driveway to the gate . OOPS!! We live in a retirement village so what would the neighbours think?

Oh boy this week is a haze , went by like greased lightning .

Hello old friends and new . Welcome to my room . Hope that you and yours are well . On Saturday I had a lovely afternoon with a craft friend who has some old family photos to scrap book . We managed to do one page and prepare for two more .Quite a change from card making . This weekend is a holiday long weekend so lots more time for craft .
But, as a DT member , I did manage a card for this morning and Make it Monday .

Hi there blogging friends .Welcome to my room . Hope it is better weather where you are . Cold , wet and windy here in Adelaide . Getting set for a quiet long weekend here in South Australia , Doug and I.
Have you planned any special event ? Of course it is The Big Footy Weekend too , with the finals being played in Melbourne .. YAH!!......not sorry to the two teams involved . Just not my cup of tea!

Tonight I'm sharing a simple card to enter it into some challenges .

I really like using Confetti White as card base when I don't intend to colour image on Whisper White because of how the matte finish on base helps to make the Whisper White stand out more .And I used PP blue instead of say Brilliant Blue for the same reasoning . I deliberately left off colouring because I wanted to highlight "cool " glasses and portray image as a sketch.
Goblygook you say?    no...seriously!

Dress tie

Hi everyone . Welcome to my room .Awesome that you have popped in to browse. Hope that you like what you see. Hi there to new followers too , thank you for joining , I'll see you at your place soon .
The family has gone back home so our little unit is very quiet now. Both Doug and I were so happy to see Michelle [ our Daughter] and her family . The Grandsons were so good , happy to do lots of colouring in and play games on the computers when we were not doing touristy things . Our last day together was spent at a park nearby . The weather was almost perfect while they were here but has rained since they left ..
I have still quite a few comments to catch up on but will plough through them eventually .
Tonight I would like to share a card and an ATC .

For this male themed ATC I have chosen to use the SU set Totally Tool .
On top of a covering of DSP I paper pieced the tools with only the sentiment that came with the screwdriver added at bottom of tools .Markers and coloured pencils used .
And the card ..

This is one of the cards I used for my Tuesday morning card making ladies .And as I uploaded I see a smudge aahhhh !! I've had these tie brads for YEARS and I'm happy they are now on cards .The card stock used is SU , the dsp is from new , Frightful Sight ,pkt.SU. The sentiment from new SU , Happiest Birthday Wishes.
I am so looking forward to the Spring weather coming back ! Cold and wet here today . Hope that you all enjoy the rest of the week .

Wow ! It is Monday again . Hello everyone , welcome to my room .Thank you so much for calling in to browse my blog .
Had you noticed that I have not blogged since last Monday? Had you missed me ? Well I tell you all something . I have missed you .
Sorry that I have missed so many comments / visitors but Doug and I have had our Daughter and her family from Queensland with us and although they are staying at a park nearby they have been with us everyday .
I think that I have hugged them all within an inch of their lives . Has been 12 months since last we were together.
Of course family comes first but hopefully I can get back into the swing of DT duties quickly .

Cherished Moments

Hello blogging pals . Thank you for calling in to see me . Welcome to my room .
No craft girls this weekend as there is so much on for everyone .Me as well as I have no more work space on my desk and I have a mountain of cards that need inserts put in . But I did find time to make some cards last night . One for Monday morning's post for Make it Monday . Have you entered a papercraft project yet ? Love to see something from you .

But I will share this one now .

This one is especially for some challenges I've found for " any thing goes " I'm afraid that the card and dsp are all retired SU stuff.
The sentiment is new , " You're Cherished " and the two butterflys from set " Kindness Matters"
I had some leaf and flowers punched already so just used marker to colour and curled the petals then added a rhinestone for centres.

Hi there . Welcome to my room . Well another fun craft day for me at home with two friends , Fran and Sandy . " Thank you very much " say I in my very best Elvis impersonation ...for the benefit of Fran , an Elvis tragic ..LOL
Just a couple of cards to share tonight .

This one is one of my fav cards that I have made in a while .The base card is Bashful Blue , SU. When I opened this pack of DSP , Cheerful Treat , I loved each and every sheet so am quite excited about sharing this first card from it . I used a scallop circle nestie to frame this new stamp, Button Buddies SU Markers were used to colour vase and flowers and black rhinestone for the flower centres . The get well sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments SU .

Season of Cheer

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in , I hope you stay a while and find something inspiring , or at least interesting . Double welcome to new follower , thanks for choosing to follow my blog .
More cold weather here in Adelaide . Secretly I dont mind because I get to craft away in my room but poor DH gets cabin fever .Not being able to gopher outside and not allowed to drive the car means that his entertainment is limited to PC , TV or wireless . So roll on warmer weather . Get well wishes to one of my craft friends , Jane , who normally comes here on Sunday [ yesterday ] but was not well enough .Sandy and I crafted Sunday afternoon away and enjoyed each others company .
Here it is Monday , the beginning of another Make it Monday ..where we can share each others compny in blogland..I so love Mondays as DT Member of Make it Monday .
My card to share this week , using an image from our sponsor is another Christmas card .I KNOW ..I did say that I thought the last one would be the last one but ...well ...make allowances , I'm old . LOL
I just need more practice at colouring images . I'd love it if you could pay all the DT member's blogs as they are all so talented and you will find some stunning creations.

I stamped image on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils adding a little Kindyglitz on wings . A couple of rub-ons for sentiment and embellishing .

She's apples !

Hi there , welcome to my room . Hello especially to another new follower , Jane .
How's your week going? Just the usual mundane day to day happenings or have you created something of note ? Come on then , share it with me in a link in your comment so that I can pop over and have a look .
Was to have a hair cut today but my hairdresser has been called away and cancelled appointment . So after Doug and I had gophered [ me walking ] for our regular coffee, I had all afternoon to play in my room .
Mostly I caught up on some commenting , read , researching , some craft magazines and wrote in some cards for
" September" birthdays .

But they are already " blog posted cards " so have this one to share tonight .
Card base is Always Artichoke , SU. The background is some dsp brayered with 'Well Worn Words' in Soft Suede. The image is from [ I'm pretty sure] Graphic 45. Happy Birthday , annabelle stamps , has been stamped in Soft Suede on Certainly Celery card and punched out with Word window punch . The Spiral Punch was used on left side of dsp., while the other edges were distressed .

Was not as nice a day here but enjoyed the company of two friends this morning for a little card making , a cuppa and lots of chit chat .
Fran has joined my challenge to make 50 Christmas cards by 1st December and as she does not have a blog brings along her cards to add to her tally for me to photograph .
And here are her lot for this week .

One of todays cards that I share tonight has a Kaszazz image .

Could not take decent photo outside today as it was too dull .

So scanned it instead . The base card is SU Cajun Craze. DSP from my stash .Image was " inked " with various markers .I just sponged edges with Basic Brown ink . Not sure that I like the Font of the sentiment but I do like the words .

Just living is not enough

While Fran , Sandy and I were crafting, Doug went out on his gopher for a coffee and just managed to dodge the showers . Thank heavens for that ! We have a few more days of cooler weather to come so it seems as though Spring has sprung somewhere else for a while . Can't wait for consistant warmer weather as I have put on a few pounds over Winter and need to get back to walking more .

Loved this little pussy cat from Inkadinkado. I stamped this in Basic Black onto Whisper White and paper pieced it before adhering onto frame that holds the sentiment from Stamp-It.

I had a wonderful afternoon, crafting with two friends .Our topic of conversation is often varied , humorous and my DH says that he often has a little chuckle as he is watching TV /resting his eyes nearby . Ours is a small open living unit so it's not really eavesdropping . Today us girls were comparing bra types ...LOL . Can you imagine the laughs?

One last Christmas card .....maybe

Hello everyone .Welcome to my room . Another sunny ..[ not real warm but ] day here in Adelaide . Have had a great blog browsing ,card making and commenting day .
Hope that your day has been as pleasant as mine . Thank you for choosing to spend a little time with me today .
Last Tuesday one of my ladies , Jill, bought along a few embossing folders to share with our craft table .
I really liked this one and will share on a card today .

I dont know the name of the folder but the sentiment is from SU set , Gifted.
Just swiped the embossing with white ink pad and sponged edges as well , before layering onto green dsp .
Added a few rhinestones onto bows of baubles . Finished off with a bit of doodling at top .
Posting late this afternoon and now it is time to start dinner of chicken and rice, with pudding and custard for dessert.

Hi there , welcome to my room . Special welcome to new followers. I sure hope you know how I love you calling in and leaving me some blog love and a link back to you . I try to visit you all as often as I can .
Hope that you and yours are well . The weather here in Adelaide has been perfect the last couple of days and Doug and I have been out and about walking , enjoying our nearby parks .

Began with a dark blue card base . DSP from EP..echo park paper co,. image from docrafts and punched lace with SU punch .Little flowers and rhinestones from my stash . Coloured with SU markers . Hello , it's wonderful to see you here . Welcome to my room . I do hope you find some thing of interest.
How was your weekend ? Did you fly a kite or shop till you dropped or craft the whole time away?
I had craft friends over both Saturday and Sunday for a little card making and scrapbooking . Beautiful weekend for me !

And one of the cards I made was as a DT member project for my Make it Monday post today .
This also served as another sneak peek of new papers coming soon to SU.All the dsp on this Whisper White card are from DSP , Just Add Cake . The layout for this was inspired by Aimee Grenier in a magazine I read recently .

Mid week madness

Hello you all . Welcome to my room .
Hope that your week is going along happily .

My day has been a right pickle .. apart from being wet and cold . I have been multi tasking all day . Washing machine going ,preparing crockpot for dinner , sweeping front veranda ...AGAIN..running after Doug etc .. etc and in and out of my room checking emails and earmarking pages in magazines and the like .

And you know what ...not achieving a lot .
But I see that there two new followers on my blog .To Lisa M and to Dora. Thank you welcome to my room ladies .Hope you visit again soon .

Sneak peek

Hello, you wonderful crafting buddies .How are you ? Thanks for calling in to browse . Hope that you leave a comment to let me know you were here so I can return the kindness.
Today I have a sneak peek for you . Not able to go into details SU protocol you see. But I can show you a card I have made from one of the new images out soon . I have used an example shown in the new catalogue and made it my own by changing a few things

I began with the card base , Cajun Craze . The scallop edges are from More Mustard card. I have two little mats of Whisper White with 3D piece of Confetti Cream on which the image is stamped using Soft Suede. I coloured sparingly with SU markers . I used an old tooth brush to spritz some Soft Suede ink over corners of Confetti Cream piece , which does not show in photo , sorry .
I added some Basic Pearls , SU.
The sentiment is from Stamp-It.
And before I go, Fran shared a couple more Christmas cards for the challenge ..well done Fran they are super fabulous .

Today is Monday .Funny how life and times change . When I was younger I hated Monday as I am sure some people still do these days .

Z fold Christmas card .

Hi there , welcome to my room . Was a pleasant morning but weather has turned cold now and this afternoon is freezing . Only one thing to do ..make a card !

I need to create some Christmas card kits for my Saturday class and this will be the first .

I began with a normal C6 card , side fold . Real Red .

I folded the front back on itself .

I layered some striped DSP onto Old Olive card for the front panel and more of the same but larger for the

inside back of card , leaving small border.

I stamped Santa on Whisper White in Real Red ink and layered onto green and the red card leaving small border. I then stamped several of the stockings in red and green and 3D them onto side of card.

Another large stamp

Hello Blogging buddies . Welcome to my room .
Hope that you have had an amazing day filled with pleasant memory making moments .
My craft ladies , Fran and Sandy , took me craft shop hopping after our session on Tuesday morning . Thank you so much Sandy , the driver . We also had a light lunch while we were out . I was a bit nevous about leaving Doug on his own for couple of hours , but it turns out that he coped very well . Even hobbled off to kitchenette to get himself a peanut butter sandwich as a snack . Mind you he left everything out on the bench afterwards ..but that's ok ..too late to retrain him now I guess! LOL
This little card that I'm sharing has another little mouse image . Just love these little critters.

I began with River Rock card base and some dsp , the label of which I have missplaced sorry .
the happy birthday background stamp lge is from Stamp-It. This I inked with the brayer too and Creamy Caramel , and after it was dry I used some glitter gel pens [ green and red ] to highlight some of the sentiment . This litttle Party Mouse is from Stampabilities and was inked with Basic Grey onto Whisper White . I paper pieced the party hat. The image was then layered onto Certainly Celery card before 3D onto card front .
Loved it hope you do too.

Hello everyone.Welcome to my room .Here it is Monday again .
I am always happy to post on Monday as a DT member, of Make it Monday , because after browsing through 100s of entries and choosing ...hard as though it is , one that I think is worthy of a mention , I get to pat someone on the back.

Larger stamps

Welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in .
There have been some lovely comments left for me and I thank you for those . I find them really encouraging and to visit those that I can is awesome .
I have been catching up on some commenting today and inking some stamps I bought a few weeks ago .
The two images I share tonight are from Kaszazz.

Now firstly , just a tip . I found that inking these large stamps is so much easier if you use a brayer. This image is 'Card Art Man of the House' . Ink was Basic Brown and Pumpkin Pie. Sentiment is from Stamp-It
Whole image was 3D onto DSP before adhering to card front .

Really loved this one , Card Art Domestic Goddess 1950's which was inked with Brocade Blue and layered onto some Old Olive card before adhering to DSP on card front . Sentiment is from Inkadinkado . Gingham ribbon and brads from my stash .

Classic is fine

Hi there, thanks for calling in .Welcome to my room . It is cold here in Adelaide again . Hoping where ever you are that the weather is just right .

Had an order for a Dad's card . Nothing floral , no food , no fishing or sport like . Mmm!

Rummaged through my stash while my friend waited .

This card took me just an hour from finding this paper , that image , a certain stamp set and printing this sentiment from computer and assembling . Mind you there was a fair bit of chit chat going on as well .

Actually I was really happy with this , shall I say , quick project . And even more satisfying is that my friend was too.

My week

Hello Blogging friends , welcome to my room . Hope that you and yours are well .
This will be the longest post I have ever done so grab a cuppa and I hope that you find something that interests you . Firstly, thank you to those who have joined my blog and to those who have taken the time to to leave much appreciated comments .

Well, the weather has improved here in Adelaide and we have had a couple of sunny days where Doug and I have been out and about , walking . That being one of the reasons for lack of postings .
Sunday was a great craft day with Sandy and Jane . Sandy bought along some of her Jelly cakes for our afternoon tea . Hand made jelly cakes to die for . while we had two each Doug saved one of his for supper so I thought that I would show you just how yummy cream filled they were!

Definately a fun day today with Fran and Jill .Things kept going missing , and turning up right under our noses ..as missing things do!
Poor Jill ,who walks to my place , weather permitting , walked right way past my gateway before realising her error . And Fran left her order behind when it was time to go . I did manage to call her back to pick it up .

Hello there and a good Monday morning to you . Welcome to my room .Sorry I have been missing in action and have not posted since last Monday but life got in the way .
Hi to new follower Avril . Hope that you find something interesting here and call again soon .
Thank you to Joyce , I think it was , who contacted Sandy who was here with Jane and myself making cards yesterday . Joyce left a message for me regarding Lint on clothes after washing . Apparently a cup {?}
of vinegar in the last rinse cycle eliminates that problem ..I'll try that next wash ..
But ..I digress..

Thinking of you on Monday

Hello blogging pals , welcome to my room , on this pleasant Monday morning . Hope that you are enjoying doing what ever it is that you are doing . I think the weather is a little better here as we actually saw some sun over the weekend . Doug and I managed a short stroll around our nearby park . I must remember to take my camera next time as mum duck was there with 8 young ducklings . Plenty of water in the creek as well .
Adjusting my DT bonnet now for the Make it Monday posting .

Children's card

Hello , welcome to my room .
Wow, did I have a great day . Hope you all had one too .
Had Sandy and Jane over for some card making , chit chat and cuppa . Had interesting discussion about washing machines and lint. Isn't that a pain ..lint on clothes?
After that Sandy offered to take me to a craft shop .Well, seeing as how I have not been " out" to browse a craft shop since Doug's stroke in October , I jumped at the offer .
With lots of oohing and "oh look at this and that " I bought one or two bags of goodies such as some stamps and lots of paper .Have not unpacked yet ..might show you all later .
Any way , now to share some cards I have made in the last day or two . Pretty simple ones that dont require a lot of explaining and all created with bits from my stash .

Hi there . I'm here with quick post . To basically admit to a senior moment . Hi there everyone , welcome to my room . This is a second post for today so please scroll down wont you ?

On Tuesday's post I entered Less is More challenge

I was so keen to use up scrap bits to create a quick and easy card that I forgot to leave lots of " white " space on card front . So today I will make amends by entering another, similar, card using some more scrappy bits .

Still with Crumb Cake, SU, card base but a new sentiment from I forget where .
Sorry Chrissie and Mandi . Hope this one is closer to the mark .

Please note that this is in the plural... we need to see more than one circle, so not just a circular card base or the odd circle thrown in just to qualify... we need you to think circles and see what you can come up with. Today I am featuring one of her images " Ballet Lesson"

I have created two cards to show that with digi images you can resize to suit your project..

The first card is usual C6 size

She is such a cutie , easy to colour and easier to cut out . I mounted her onto embossed and diecut frame . Then layered that onto red paper , hand torn on one side and adhered onto green dot paper on card front. I embellished with flowers and bling from my stash .
And this next card shows same image made smaller

The other images and sentiment are computer generated.

Simply more than one circle

Hi there . welcome to my room . Just a quick project today . If you are in need of a budget card then hopefully my card shared here will inspire you . See how you can use up lots of your scrappy bits of patterned paper . In this instance I kept to a flower theme with my scraps .
Oh and a little tip ,you may or may not think of .
Some of my scrappy bits are like really , really small .And you know how hard it can be to punch small bits!
Well all you do is adhere a tag to the scrappy bit .

This tag acts as a handle and with it I could position the punch exactly over the image I needed without my fingers getting in the way of the veiw .

So onto my card which happens to be for a bloke who likes gardening from seed to flower /vegs .

I'm hoping it is right for

Well , it was a cold and damp weekend here in Adelaide and does not look like it will be any better today .

How was your weekend? I had great workshops both days and Sunday with Jane was productive and fun . Jane always shows such enthusiasm when making up her kits that it is a pleasure to share time with her .
