Thoughts of Sympathy

Hello everyone . I am so happy to see you here and I welcome you to my room .
Thank you for calling in so that I can share my card .

This is another sympathy card for my collection and one that I made as a kit for my craft group .

I had Sandy and Fran  here this morning for a lovely card making session with loads of laughter and chatting . Doug [ my DH] returned from his gopher ride and sat at the end of our craft table to chat with us .Just wish that I could get him interested in punching out some shapes etc for me .

For my card
SU card stock , Garden Green , Old Olive and Whisper White .
The Gumnut Brush image is from Helen Williams while the the sentiment is made up from a set from Stampendous , Comforting Words.

The matte behind the image has been embossed and I thought that this would be the only embellishing [ if I may call it as such] , I would include for this card .

Time of Sorrow

Oh boy , I am on a roll here .
Hi there Followers and visitors , welcome to my room .
Thank you for calling in .
Another cold day here with a sprinkling of rain . But you know the weather is great for crafting .

To share tonight is a Sympathy card .
For this card I have used Marina Mist and Whisper White card stock .
Love the floral embossed layer along with the scalloped die cut for the image . This stamp has the sentiment along side of the bird image so does make a complete topper

And for the inside
Here I masked off the words and reinked just the bird .The image inside card is second generation stamped  with sentiment from Print Block Australia ,  stamped over the top .

My thought for today

                                            Sorrow is a fruit.
God does not make it grow on limbs too weak to bear it.

                                 Victor Hugo

Well that is it for today .

Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne

Record the event

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in .

Firstly before I post , I cannot but share my sorrow for all Londoners .

Father of mercies and God of all comfort.
How do I cope with this latest tragedy?
Pray with your whole heart! Share your sorrow and pain and God will give you comfort.

A masculine card to post tonight
When I get my girls to make this one I will suggest a darker ink for the sentiment .

I used SU , Crumb Cake card stock for card base and layer which I stamped with SU, Hardwood
using CTMH, Desert Sand ink before using foam dots to adhere to card front .
Scrap paper used with SU small banner tag punch .
MFT die used for image frame  from SU Delightful Dijon, .Camera from SU set Traveler .
Basic Black for diecut man in hat . String and pearls from my stash .

My thought for this day ....

Doubly Tweet

Hi there , welcome to my room and thanks for calling in .
This is my second post after such a long time searching for my lost mojo .
Still time poor mind you , still a full time carer but find leaving some things undone , unfinished so refreshingly liberating . And sharing a fun card like this one made yesterday, so  rejuvenating.

Card base ,Pumpkin Pie from SU. Paper from my stash . Bird image from Sweet and sassy digis . You can find them here

The balloon die is from Whimsy stamps . Sentiment is from CTMH.

Was fun to use this pre colored two bird image  as the two birds were so easy to cut out and 3D.
I enlarged slightly and printed 3 times .I left whole for first layer , second layer was just the "faces of birds , no feet or back feathers . The third layer is just the blue bird face . All images were adhered to card with foam dots .

Hope you like this fun card .
That's all for today .But will leave you with this thought ..

Smile in the mirror. Do that every morning and you'll start to see a big difference in your life. - Yoko Ono

Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.
