How DO you wrap a hug?

Hi there . Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .
I do hope that you let me know that you have popped in to read  my post by leaving a few words in the comment box below . I appreciate you taking the  time . I do read all comments and will return the visit asap .

Another cold day in Adelaide with a few late afternoon showers . Now Hubby does not like Winter as he cannot go out on his gopher to give  Twiggy a run in one of the many parks nearby . So he has to content himself with watching a lot of TV or playing games on his computer . For me it is ok as I love being in my craft room either actually making cards or researching on line for card sketches /ideas .I do love Pinterest .

Today I am sharing a rather plain little square card .
An image, A Secret,  from Mo's Digis which I coloured with copics .
The sentiment is one of Penny Black's stamps.
The little butterfly is from a freebie set in a magazine .
The DSP is from my SU stash .
I die cut the image after printing it then stamped the sentiment and butterfly before  colouring and adding to card with foam dots .

Take time out

My room is warm and cosy . Messy and not a lot of walking area but never the less warm and inviting for my cyber friends . Hi there, welcome and  thank you for calling in .
It is only 13 C degrees in Adelaide  as I begin this post .

Today I share a card that is a little out of my comfort zone . For one thing I have some colouring and made a scene with a few die cuts .

The gentleman image is a digi from Mo's digis , called Pigeons and I have coloured with copics .
The grass and fence are MFT dies .The sentiment is from Hero Arts . The cloud die is from Whimsy Shapeology dies .

Not quite as I envisaged but I like the scene .

Thank you to those who have visited and left kind words on previous posts .

Think about that . Whether you are rising to greet the new day or retiring from a spent day , would you really want to miss it ?

I Seas you....

Brrrr....It is a cold one today !!  We may make 14 degrees C  here today .
I do hope that the weather is kind to you where ever you are .

Thank you for calling in and welcome to my room . I don't get too many comments to my posts so you can be sure that I will visit you too , if I know that you have called in . So please say hello in the comment box ..

My make and kit  today is for my friends Sandy and Jane to hopefully enjoy this week .
This is a new card  fold for me.I was inspired by the card made and posted by Gay Lynn on Pinterest.

Now if I were to make this again I would use Very Vanilla card for centre images and the sentiment .
But having said that I do still like this make .
By The Shore DSP, SU the back side of which is shown in part behind next picture of inside of card .
SU Whisper White card for centre images and sentiment and inside panel.
SU  Pacific Point card base and backing for images and sentiment .SU dies used .
Images and sentiment  from a freebie set with a magazine .

I took A4 card stock of Pacific Point ,Adhered a 10cm x 14.5 less 2cm to right hand top leaving small border top  and right .
 [C6 ordinary card to be 10.5cm x 15 less 2cm ]
I then embossed a line left side and bottom of what will become insert so that the base of card will be 10.5cm x 15 less 2cm .
I then cut from top left corner of A4 card to bottom right and folded along embossed lines so that the bottom section folded up while the left side folded in .
Now back to the front of card where I adhered DSP . I placed smaller circle just so that the top larger circle can tuck under and thus card can  stay shut .

As you can see this fold technique still gives you two C6 cards from one A4 card .

Tip..Use your bone folder to give crisp folds after lining up folded sides .

Thanks again for calling in and I hope you liked my post .

A gentleman of old

Hi there craft friends . So thrilled to welcome you to my room and blog post . Thank you for calling in and if you comment then I will know you were here . I will visit you too .

The weather has been cool as of late and poor hubby got caught in the rain one morning whilst riding his gopher .He got caught at the traffic lights while the rain bucketed down and arrived home absolutely drenched .Consequently caught a cold ,which  he gave me some days later .What a pair of misery guts we were . Still , all better now .

Today I would like to share I card made recently ,using card stock from my stash and images from a stamp set free with a magazine .

The sentiment and the  'gentleman of old topper'  is from a CD , Man about Town , from Kraftyhands .
 HELLO to the old gang!

It is 3.30pm here and the night air is closing in , my feet are getting cold and I had better check to see if Doug has his lap rug over his knees . He is currently watching TV through closed eyes . Mind you if I go there and turn TV off , he will be instantly awake and say " I was watching that!!" LOL
