One last Christmas card .....maybe

Hello everyone .Welcome to my room . Another sunny ..[ not real warm but ] day here in Adelaide . Have had a great blog browsing ,card making and commenting day .
Hope that your day has been as pleasant as mine . Thank you for choosing to spend a little time with me today .
Last Tuesday one of my ladies , Jill, bought along a few embossing folders to share with our craft table .
I really liked this one  and will  share on a card today .

I dont know the name of the folder but the sentiment is from SU set , Gifted.
Just swiped  the embossing with white ink pad and sponged edges as well , before layering onto green dsp .
Added a few rhinestones onto bows of baubles . Finished off with a bit of doodling at top .
Posting late this afternoon and now it is time to start dinner of chicken and rice, with pudding and custard  for dessert.

Z fold Christmas card .

Hi there , welcome to my room . Was a pleasant morning but weather has turned cold now and this afternoon is freezing .  Only one thing to do ..make a card !

I need to create some Christmas card kits for my Saturday class and this will be the first .

I began with a normal C6 card , side fold . Real Red .

I folded the front back on itself .

I layered some  striped DSP onto Old Olive card  for the front panel and more of the same but larger for the

inside back of card , leaving small border.

I stamped Santa  on Whisper White in Real Red ink and layered onto green and  the red card leaving small border. I then stamped several of the stockings in red and green and 3D them onto side of card.

Something I prepared earlier ..

It is so cold here in Adelaide and that plays havoc with old bones . Doug is not travelling so well today so lots of TLC for him and not much else  happening ..

So while he is dozing I thought that  I would share a couple of cards  which I made a few days ago .

is it cheating?

Hi there blogging friends , how are you ?
Are you ready for a great weekend? I hope so . Hope you have a weekend of memory making moments with family and friends. In the meantime , welcome to my room.
Recently Jane, gave me a couple of Christmas Tags to see if I could use them on cards .

They  are so elegant that I could not , for the life of me , add any thing else . On this one there is a little tag with sentiment . I just added it  onto White Gloss card with foam tape .

Sorry about picture . it is a glossy tag and no matter which angle I tried it reflected, so I tried scanning instead . But the images are handbags and shoes with Christmas sentiment

 in the centre." Have a Gorgeous Christmas".

I adhered this with foam tape as well.

Now by the time I want to use these I may decide to add some rhinestones.

That got me to rummaging through my stash of tags and  I found these .

These two are 10.5cm square white gloss cards  both  with sentiments from SU. I added little rhinestones from my stash onto tags that are added to card with ...you guessed it foam tape .

What seems 100 years ago,   I began creating cards by using recycled cards and other pictures from magazines and wrapping paper. And I   use the like when holding  craft days with some of my friends who don't have the  where with all to collect stamps and / or cannot cut out images even if they could stamp.

We actually have fun sharing our crafty ingenuity. I have a blogging  friend who recycles too , HELLO  MONICA and her creations are beautiful.

Any way that's my addition to  50 Christmas cards by 1st December.

Annmaree has added to her entries too .

Hi and welcome back to my room .. this is my second post tonight but  it's with an edited version of the last card in previous post .

Now to explain .When I made the first card I inked  and stamped the holly first, coloured some of the berries red ,  then  added  the sentiment in green as well . I thought straight away that there was no life in the card so I added the bells in different colours . GRRRR ! I knew , I just knew I was not happy with that . Thankfully some suggestions were made and I tried again . Hope this is ok to do this way .

Christmas card challenge for 2011.

Hello everyone , boy I am late tonight . Hope that you have all had a most productive day in craft.
Welcome to my room . Just a quick post , sharing another Christmas card . This one is number 5 . I was really grateful that I started last years early because as circumstances turned out I would have been sending shop bought ones ...great intake of breath + shock horror!


Before I share my card though , I will give some great news flash ........DRUM ROLL PLEASE
Shirley-Anne  [thats me ] is going to give a little candy to one of her  blogging friends who joins the challenge to make 50 Christmas cards by 1st December . I am hoping that Robyn joins in as she made some fantastic Christmas cards last year . I do believe that there is one at least on her blog already. Please check my side bar for candy photo asap . To be in the running for little candy all you have to do is 
1.create a new  Christmas card ,
2  post it on your blog along with a link to my blog  ,
3 then place the link to that post in a comment on my blog .
This only the first notice. I will place another post about the challenge, in a while as a reminder  when I take photo of candy to add to  my side bar.

Two Christmas Cards today to share.

Good evening everyone , welcome to my room . Hope that your weekend is off to a great start. Anything planned that you can share? It is cooler here today so I was in the back yard cleaning verandah from leaves and decobwebbing . I use lots of surface spray and a long broom .
Have made two more Christmas cards in the style that I  enjoy. Simple and fun .

First Christmas Card 2011.

Hello everyone . Welcome to my room where it is so cool ...that's not " hip speak" , it really is cool in here .  I don't think I have ever been labeled as " cool' . It must be 40 degrees outside here in Adelaide .

A little group which I have joined is banding together to share our Christmas cards for 2011.
This will be my first to share .
