Have been unwell myself and play time in my room has been scarce but I did make this card  a week or so ago .

Christmas With a Friend

Oh my! Here I am again , another posting . Just got to  love it . There is something about creating a mini work of art such as a hand made card  that is so good for ones health and well being . If you are not too hard on  yourself  , if you can understand that sometimes your project will not turn out exactly as you had visualized and ..... if you can accept that there are no  mistakes  only opportunities  for embellishing  , then you are well on your way to really enjoying your paper craft .

This time I did not use the die set that matched the stamp set but decided to cut out by hand ..

The new stamp set is Snow Place , SU and I have used  the snow man , the penguin  , the hat and tie along with the sentiment that I divided into two parts The embossed back ground was given to me by Jane . I added a little Wink of Stella to the hat and tie . The snowman is added with foam dots. I stamped the penguin twice and 3D him adhering to front with double layered  foam dots to make him look closer than the snowman .

Here I have used a sentiment from the SU set , Christmas Messages  surrounded by snowflakes from the Snow Place set .

Christmas is a tonic for our souls. It moves us to think of others rather than of ourselves. It directs our thoughts to giving.

Family to family

Rain , hail , sleet or snow there is no better time to be in your craft space creating the next project . Very damp and cold outside but toasty in here .

Should be doing house work but you know how it is . 

My idea of house work is to stand in the doorway and cast a sweeping glance around the room .

I know , that is bad .

Hello to new follower , Debbie, welcome to my room .  

Had an  amazing day yesterday , Saturday, with Sonny , Rachael and Noomi , our Son and his family . They had been living at Roxby Downs but have recently moved to Adelaide for work . 

All of our other  children and their families  still live so far away that visits from us are impossible now with Doug as he is . So when they do get to visit us it is a  wonderful time .

A season ticket .

Hi there you crafty lot . Thanks for calling in and welcome to my room . 

I am here in my room , it is Wednesday night and I am writing this post for the next challenge for Christmas Card Challenge 

Am hoping to get ahead with my DT duties, make my card  and schedule  my post . I really want to make some toppers and buttons  from  the mountain of card /paper scraps that are piling up .

Now , as I am typing ,  the rain outside my window is so loud I cannot hear myself think! It is bucketing down . The weather was so cold today and the next couple of days are not going to be any warmer .

Now my DT card for Christmas card Challenge #23

 Green card base from SU . Topper and sentiment cut from card kit from crafts you print . 

I printed to fit  onto A5 sized paper and made a 12 x 12  cm square card .

I layered the topper onto Soft Suede card, SU. then onto card base . I 3D the flowers and added punched sentiment with foam dots . Wink of Stella was added to windows in the picture .
