Two Stamp Sets not seen around much
I have a few cards to make for male friends and rellies so this week I went through my older cards stash to see just how many male cards I actually had on hand . Now , is it just me or do us craftys tend to make more ' pretty ' cards and children's cards ? I made 3 today and would love to share them with you . I used two sets that I have not seen very much of AT ALL!
All card stock is from SU. All paper is from SU. The stamp sets are " Outlined for Fun" [ Good Luck}, " Card Games" and " Game Night", all SU. Hero Arts " Happy Birthday To You " The Dotty Wave Edge punch by EK. Inks I used were Basic Black and Pacific Point from SU.
I hope that you liked these . If I am able tonight I will add some of my older creations but i may not be able to fill in recipes .

Stylishly Challenging For Me
Hi there , you're just in time to see my latest creations . I had said earlier, that I was not into embelishing cards very much. And I did say, also, that I would make an effort and try adding some bling , maybe, or more than one embellishment.
For the 'Just For You' card I used a wooden flourish , some flower embelishments with brad centres, some ribbon and a stamped image with greeting . The background image on the right was my favourite addition. It is a large background stamp, Floral, from SU.
'The Happy For You' card is my favourite one. The flower is fussy cut from the other side of the background paper on the card front . I cut out three images , adhered one complete flower to card front , cut around green petals on the second and 3D that onto the first , cutting around the yellow petals for the last 3D addition. Behind the bow I used a hat pin and beads from Pretties Kit from SU.
So here they are !
My version of stylish cards . Hope you like them. Shirley-anne.

Rub-a-dub and pop sticks..
Hi there ." What on earth is Shirley-anne on about here? ", I can hear my visitors saying .
It's ok , I just wanted a name for a Post for cards with Rub-ons as a feature.
I adore the new Rub-ons " Dots & Designs ' by Stampin'Up.
Here are two cards , easy cards and each only took 15 minutes starting from scratch . I am a plain card creator, not one for a lot of embellishments , but I might try to venture out of my comfort zone just so that I can show you that I can challenge myself from time to time .
So thank you for browsing and please call back soon to see if I have really taken up the challenge to stretch my creativity .
Cheers Shirley-Anne

Idle Days
Hi there , great to have your company .
Here we are , the middle of January already... !
"I am aware
How many days have been idly spent;
How like an arrow the good intent
Has fallen short or been turned aside."
This excerpt from a passage of verse by William Wadsworth Longfellow, came to mind as I struggled for inspiration since my last entry. This challenge must come to all of us from time to time , I think.
How do my fellow creators overcome loss of mojo? Maybe by browsing through magazines , or Blogs or joining a group of like minded papercrafters.
At last, today I found inspiration in a challenge in a web site called Splitcoaststampers.
"Clean and simple" was the card challenge . There are plenty of creative people on the forums who have shared their work and that is what has inspired me today .
I have a card or two that I would like to share with you now...
Catch you again soon . Shirley-anne

A New Year begins
Hello there , welcome to my room . Hope that you all had safe , happy and joyous Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Here in Adelaide it's a hot start to January. A sad one for MFM [my favourite man] and myself. Today our little dog, Sandy, passed away after a short illness. Thank you Sandy for 13 years of wonderful friendship.
Have been busy for some time caring for her so card making has been spasmodic. But there a few to share with you . hope you like them .
