It is a dull , grey , damp and windy Spring day for Fathers'day . Warm wishes for all Dads, Step Dads  and Granddads , everywhere . To those with their families and to those who are apart for whatever reason . Special mention to those men who are foster Dads too .

I'm late , I'm late for a very important date ! So said a very famous rabbit .

Hi everyone . I think that I am in by the skin of my teeth . Just a bit behind this week for my DT tag for Tag Tuesday .

I like to create different shaped tags . Doesn't always work but I try .

Seeing as how I am here though,  I will share a card that I created today  as  a kit for Tuesday morning craft with my friends , Fran and Sandy .

I used SU brown card base with papers from What a Hoot Paper Pack .
I die cut an image from one out of the What A Hoot Postcard pack .
Only adding sentiments from SU set , So Happy For You with bling from Kraftyhands .

Although a late start  , still the challenge closes at Midnight on the 30th June!
The fabulous DT did create some amazing projects and there was even a video  shared.
Now it is open I can't wait to see your makes  so come on do share..

  Ended up being a hot  35 here today .  Doug and I  drove out early for coffee and scones , meeting up with Sandy and Jane at our regular B&B café. Then home to our cool unit .

Missed me?

Hi there.
Remember me?
I have missed blogging and welcoming you all to my room .

Just mundane life duties for a while  then Daughter , Michelle , and family visited for a few days .
It was great , a real  blast to see them all .Doug and I took them to our favourite parks . Fortunately
there were many koalas, kookaburras and other birds on show so that the Grandchildren could take lots of photos with the new cameras that Granddad had given  them .

But hopefully I can get back into my routine . Have to catch up on blog visits and commenting .

A Christmas Card

 

Hi there , welcome to my room .
I really appreciate your visit and would love to hear from you too .
The weather here has been like a yoyo . A fine Spring day then a cool blustery Autumn one . 
Bit like my weight .
Have not posted about that for quite a while because I have been so frustrated with my wt. sitting on 80.2 or 80.4 then down to 80 , the bouncing back to 80.4 ..GRRRRR!! Last week weigh in was 79 but not game to smile about that too soon ..maybe I will if it is same when I weigh in again later in the week .

Creative Blog Tour

Hi there blog pals .Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .
I do hope that frequent and  new visitors alike  and followers enjoy their browsing .

Lisa S. invited me to take part  in a blog hop . Having not participated in one before I hope that I follow all the right steps .
I was inspired by Lisa's enthusiasm and encouragement when I worked with her as DT for Make it Monday so her invite is an honour.

Thanks Lisa for guiding me .
  A few questions that Lisa gave me to steer me in the right direction as an introduction  are answered here .
1. What am I working on ?
           I have a few craft friends who enjoy craft days with me , where I make 3 cards and kits for them to make and take . So I am always creating for those . At the moment though,  on my desk is a DT card for Kraftyhands and the next challenge .

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
         I favour CAS cards and find it very difficult to embellish my cards .So I would have to say that the lack of flowers or bling would be the difference . Having said that , I am comfortable with my style and love to share .

3.Why do I create what I do?
        Rest and recreation .  Because I am lucky in  that I can .  Simple as that.  If I am not creating I am researching . I am addicted to paper craft . It has taken over another love of mine which is writing .

4.  How does your  creating process work?
        I read many craft books  troll through blogs and Pinterest  and research styles and layouts .
When I have found colour combinations and themes I think I have materials to work with I set about collecting all that I need to make my interpretation of what ever  I have found . I do like to have every thing on hand before I begin .Cutting anything that needs to be cut , colour any image and assemble all layers on the card base ,This where I procrastinate ! This is where changes can be made  if I have thought of some thing that might work better .

A pleasant day here in Adelaide with a little sun shine . Not much warmth yet but there just the same . Doug and I managed a quick trip out for coffee . As it was cool in the shade along the trail of Linear Park I did not linger to take photos today . May be tomorrow .

The thoroughly modern man

 Hello There . Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .
I do hope you like the card I share today .

A card that  I made  from Create It #2 DVD ROM .
 Available from Kraftyhands on line 

I 3D the hand and phone  and  paper pieced the sentiment .

Only adding a few pearls also available from Kraftyhands .

I used a SU punch to create a note book page look on one layer .

 

And for the inside 

This is Kit 6.  Now this is just right for me as a CAS card but if you were one for adding embellishments then  paper clips or staples are among the hints and tips suggested . There are even Video tutorials on the DVD.

And for my weighty news . I am still sitting on 80.2kg and have resorted to a protein shake to "help" .Not that I am snacking between meals or eating a horse at every sitting but ......

Picnic Time CD card

Well , bother!
I forgot yesterday was Monday and did not post a card or my update on my self imposed diet progress .
That's it , when one has retired [ in our case any way] one can lose track of days / time .
I will be up to date next Monday .

Hello to you all .Welcome to my room . I hope that you will enjoy your visit and that you will consider leaving some blog love .
All comments are read and appreciated .

 It is as cold as a frog's pond here so the aircon is on for Doug and I have a bit of time for crafting . Actually creating a Sympathy card and kit for my fabulous crafty friends.
Will share that later on another day  .
Today being Monday it's  weigh in day and will show results at end of post .

My cards to share are a little ...errr, well , showing a little skin . But there is some cleanliness and some country,  so clean and green I think .
                             Tongue in cheek speak!!

I was given a pack  'A Little Bit Naughty Topper Set' from Mike at Kraftyhands  and these are what I created. A DL card and an easel card.
I used SU card stock with papers and bow , buttons and butterfly printed from Kraftyhands CDs

These fantastic naughty toppers are just the kind of thing to raise a smile on anyone's face! A little bit naughty and a little bit saucy, but still fun at the same time! 12 designs printed on 250gsm cardstock measuring approx 10cm x 14cm. They make the perfect card topper or addition to any scrap book project!

I had a hoot!

Hi there and welcome to my room .Thanks for calling in .

Well we had a warm couple of  days  here in Adelaide but forecast is for normal Autumn weather for the rest of the week .
Had Fran and Sandy here this morning for card making and as always enjoyed their company .
The last couple of days I have been playing with the CD from the Kraftyhands  magazine #1

        

The magazine is a perfect accompaniment to the CD .
 Apart from each digital  card kit sketch there are  easy steps for the card construction . Hints and tips and variations on every page to encourage and enthuse you . Beautiful large and clear photos for each project over two pages so no tiny thumbnail pictures to work from . The CD itself is not just stuck to the front of magazine ..oh no ! On the back page there is a sturdy  pouch  for the CD for perfect storage .
 There are also internet links to  YouTube video tutorials of all the projects .

This time I went to project 4, printed out the two A4 pages for the card kit and cut everything out .

This card is virtually as suggested . The next two are my ideas using balance of images from  kit .
In these instances I have used SU papers and ribbon

In a tea cup

Well in Adelaide we have a bit of a respite from the hot weather  and it has been raining heaps .Not as much as in other places of the world though .
Can't wait to get to Linear Park tomorrow [if the rain has stopped ] to see how much water is flowing I down  the River Torrens . Must not forget my camera!

A fantastic textures paper stack for male themed cards and scrapbook projects, featuring beautiful textured backgrounds. 2 each of 12 designs.
