Vintage friend

Hello once more and welcome . Hope you have had a great day .
Another cold day in Adelaide , another good day for crafting .
Have a new craft friend who has sent me some beautiful creations as swaps . Hi there Ally .
Tonight I share with you her latest' vintage ' swap. It is adorable . There has been some clever use of the negatives of punched scallop circles here . I did fluff up the flowers that got squashed a bit through posting but I love the lace bow with pin. And that image is so cute .
Ally has raised the bar for me as I struggle with styled or vintage cards , but here  is my effort .
Actually , I love it . My second one of this kind in a matter of days !
All made from clutter on my desk and my stash of bits  , I might add.
Anyway short and sweet with posting tonight , am late with my commenting on blogs I love to visit so
catch you again soon , cheers for now Shirley-Anne

Feminine cards

Hello,  great to see you here . Please , while you're here,  I want you to know that I really appreciate any and all comments , so before you leave , let me know where you are and I can and will visit you too.

Today I spent quite a long time placing inserts into cards that I have made over the last week or so . Some were blank but a few have stamped greetings and although it was time consuming I am glad I have them  now bagged and put away .

I did , however , manage two cards this evening . Created card bases from SU Lavender Lace .
The rest of the recipe is from my stash , some of which I have had for YONKS and can't remember their origin. Sorry .

Much of my stash I bought before I realised I would be sharing my creations so did not keep  records .
The bow is from Bella Ribbon Bowz.

I liked this card in particular because I only had
enough of the butterfly paper to make this small panel and there was a spare butterfly on the scrap left that was the same so that I could cut it out and 3D it . Now that I am looking at the card I think that I will place some gems/ bling on it .

And the difference is .....

Well there you go . Hope that you enjoyed the visit .
See you soon , cheers Shirley-Anne

Vintage style

Hello,
Today I began to tidy my room . But , again , I was sidetracked by some scrappy bits of paper . This happens quite often  with me . As I have been card making for a while now , It has come to be,  that I have mountains of paper and embellishments which are not in their original packaging. So   this card on show today will have minimum description as I have forgotten many sources.
I can say for the first "thinking of you " card shown , I used punches from  SU. and the greeting from set, Priceless, SU.
Wooden Flourishes and flowers are my favourite embellishments and the only ones I am confident enough to use .

For the next card it's easier to give a recipe .
I used Kraft card  , SU, as base and the background is Parisian Breeze Specialty designer series paper.
The greeting is from the set Whimsical Words from the  SU Sale-a-bration catalogue,  inked with basic brown , SU.
The flowers from SU accents, Flower Fusion and the ribbon from SU Ribbon Originals , ' Dress Up'.

Hope you like todays creations enough to leave a comment so I can visit you.

Catch you again soon ,

Stylishly Challenging For Me

Hi there , you're just in time to see my latest creations . I had said earlier, that I was not into embelishing cards very much. And I did say, also, that I would make an effort and try adding some bling , maybe, or more than one embellishment.
For the 'Just For You' card I used a wooden flourish , some flower embelishments with brad centres, some ribbon and a stamped image with greeting . The background image on the right was my favourite addition. It is a large background stamp, Floral, from SU.
'The Happy For You' card is my favourite one. The flower is fussy cut from the other side of the background paper on the card front . I cut out three images , adhered one complete flower to card front , cut around green petals on the second and 3D that onto the first , cutting around the yellow petals for the last 3D addition. Behind the bow I used a hat pin and beads from Pretties Kit from SU.
So here they are !

My version of stylish cards . Hope you like them. Shirley-anne.
