Today,  just because I am up to date with my comments on my DT gig , Make it Monday , I have made some vintage theme cards .

 It took me ages tonight to load photos as Blogger has been ratty tonight , not allowing me to upload photos .

When I had printed the image I cut it out with a box attached and half the dove outside it .

All three are made with SU card , Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and  More Mustard for the last one which looks rather red ..Some SU  DSP , along with buttons and flowers and tags from my stash .

Carol and Carol on Saturday

Hello everyone . It is so great to see you here  ..welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in . What a glorious day in Adelaide today . Hope it is just as pleasant where ever you are .
Doug was much better today , even good enough to gopher to the park with me and Jacki [ our dog] .He was getting cabin fever , I  think , not being able to get out and about .
He was so tired after , that he slept   most of the time my girls were here for card making ..
These are my two Carols .

We had just finished our cards and they were browsing catalogue while waiting for kettle to boil .
I forgot to write down which card belonged to which Carol but I'm sure I'll be told if this is wrong

Both enjoyed the stamping and punching and oohing over DSP.  I chuckled as they both agreed that it was hard to use dsp that had beautiful patterns on both sides . I assured them  that even seasoned crafters have that problem too . Wouldn't you agree ?

" K" for Less is More

Hello there . Welcome to my room . Hope that you are enjoying some craft time .

 I almost forgot my Less is More challenge entry . And as I have not missed one yet , I rummaged through my stash of Chipboard letters to find this " K "
Which is a good find because I have a friend with a birthday soon and this monogram card will be just the bees knees! I just hope my friend does not see this yet .
For that is this weeks challenge .
"monogram: Definition monogram ( ) n. A design composed of one or more letters, typically the initials of a name, used as an identifying mark.
So in effect, your monogram should represent the word it's standing for and not be a part of it.
You can use any means you fancy for creating your monogram... die cut letters, stamps, computer printouts, masking techniques... wherever your creativity leads you, we'd love to see it. "

Something I prepared earlier ..

It is so cold here in Adelaide and that plays havoc with old bones . Doug is not travelling so well today so lots of TLC for him and not much else  happening ..

Here it  is , Monday again . And here it is STILL cold in Adelaide .
Hi there blog friends . Welcome to my room . Thank you for popping in to browse . I sure hope  that you like what you have seen .

Had a perfect afternoon with a couple of crafting buddies yesterday after a horrid start to the day . I was multi tasking early in the morning ..watching cake in oven , washing up , setting up washing machine and helping Doug with bathroom stuff when I could hear water running . Checking things out I discovered that I had left tap running in kitchen sink with plug in and water was cascading through the unit to the front door . Luckily we have tiles in that area so no carpets touched thank heaven .
It took an hour to move fridge,  dining table and chairs and mop up all the water. Then  to top it all off I spilt my cuppa over on the craft table while chatting to girls .
So far this morning things are calmer and more under control . It is still cold but all is right in the camp .

Now of course being Monday I am happy to see that there were over 200 entries in last weeks
 Make it Monday .   Michelle must be over the moon !
Congrats to the winners from last week . Thank goodness i'm not the one who has to choose as all entries are worthy .

heartfelt wish

Hi there . Welcome to my room .
You would think that  I would say something more original , yes? I have often thought that I should find something different to say at the beginning and end of my postings but ...this is what I  am comfortable with and I genuinely am happy to see you here .
Had a wonderful afternoon with a couple of friends who are newbies to papercraft . I set a little homework for them  every  week and it just thrills me no end when they bring some project along to share . They don't know it yet but I  think that I will start taking photos and sharing their cards with you . They really are picking up hints,  tips and ideas from their lessons . It's like planting seeds in a new garden and watching new blooms appear.
I have a couple of other friends coming tomorrow, Sandy and Jane
 and this card will be one for them to do .

How do you wrap a hug?

Hi there , welcome to my room .This my second post for the day so please scroll down to see the  first .
Have not done this for quite a while . The day ended up better than it started so had a down and up day ..LOL
Bought a magazine the other day , that the " girls " picked up for me , which had a free stamp and embossing folder attached .  Absolute delight the stamp is . This is its first inking and I can see it being inked again .
I did say , at the end of first post today , that I might make a pink card . And here it is .

No fuss for this card .

Hello there every one ,thank you for calling in . Welcome to my room .
 Before I share today's card I would like to say that I appreciate all the wonderful comments I get.   I am sorry that I don't always get around to all the  return visits that I hope to,  but I promise I'll try as soon as I can .
Doug had been progressing really well , then , like a bloke does , took one too many risks ,over extending  himself . The result being , he had a fall .A few bumps and bruises  muscle weakness and worse,  a loss of confidence . For  the last  few  days he has not wanted to walk any where with out me being at his side . I'm sure all this will pass eventually and he will return to full strength .
Today's card is a male birthday card.

We would like to see a frame of some sort or something in a frame... we'd like you to be as inventive as you like.

You could doodle, draw, emboss, ink, paint, colour, print, stamp, emboss resist, mask or any other method you can come up with to get a frame of sorts into your design.

The Lollipop Ladies Challenge

Hi there everyone . A brisk, invigourating morning here in Adelaide . Welcome to my room . Hope that you are preparing for a great weekend . Thank Heaven it's Friday !
Firstly ,I would like to extend a warm welcome to new followers . Thank you so much for visiting and joining my blog . I hope that you find some of my projects interesting enough to make your visits worth while .

I made this card yesterday while  I had the image out . And while I was blog browsing for inspiration I saw

Look at the beautiful swirls in there... we've decided to have that as our little extra for the challenge this time... so the challenge should you choose to eat it up is Rainbow Paddlepop with SWIRLS as the optional extra!!I tried to keep the card yummie /sweet like the icecream .

Mad for Markers Challenge

Hello all you wonderful friends , thank you for calling in .Welcome to my room . Hope  that you are having a happy day .
The card I share today is one for my  friend to give to her friend's  daughter. My friend was not sure exactly how old the birthday girl is but knows it 's a  not yet a teen , so maybe 12 th ...birthday . Apparently a bit of a tomboy is this young'un and into food . Now this was a challenge in itself .
While I was blog browsing for inspiration I saw that Mad for Markers still had a current challenge of tag  sketch  and copics going so I opted for a tag shaped card . A little feminine and a little food , just in case .

All card and DSP is SU . COPICS..B00, BG01,RV04, R29, R20, YG03, Y06, Y17, YG06. for cakes on plate image , docrafts. All embellishments from my stash .
My friend said that she loved the spot to place some voucher or money behind cakes where the sentiment is tucked in  and the card is sold .. very nice thank you very much .
I only had enough time to take a quick pic hoping it was a good enough photo .

Hello blog pals , welcome to my room . Warm as toast in here after a 14.6 degree day I believe. I have tried to catch up on commenting today . Seen some awesome projects.
I had some snail mail with new stamps as well , so was keen to ink them .
This is the first time I have searched for a challenge  that my " imagined card " would suit , before I created it .   I came across

Sarah says that it is not imperitive that you use one of her images but that she would be delighted if  you  did . I dont have any of hers yet ...maybe soon .
Here is the card I hope meets the requirements

All card stock and dsp is from SU. Nellie's Multi frames used as layers for images . Thongs , bag and sentiment from Shoes'n'Bags set LadybugCraftsink . Umbrella from Kaszazz. Coloured with copin pens . Sorry I have not got into the habit yet of recording numbers. The umbrella had a patterned top but I cut its shape  from white card and paper pieced that over original stamping , then coloured brightly .I used scallop frame as connection to waves at beach .
So happy with the result and hope you like it too .

Fistly I'd like to share my entry into Less is More challenge .

My card is of Glossy White , while image , from Asian Artistry, and sentiment , stampendous are  inked in Basic Black . I used a blender pen to drag colour from edge of bird to colour body . I think it looks brownish in photo but IRL it is black . I created the larger  image by overlapping two images in the set.

Hard to tell cause I have used small pieces like the striped layer here on 5 cards .  The best I can say  after using this pkt in  two workshops now , is LOTS ..
WOW this is the best post I have done for a while .I think that it is because I am still on a high from the wonderful card morning with 3 fabulous friends . Thanks girls .

BRRRR .Cold again / still  here in Adelaide . Hi there blog pals , welcome to my room .

Yesterday,  I really had a fun afternoon with  Sandy and Jane here with card making . Jane has not been 100% well  as of late so it was great to see her chatty , cheerful self again . On Saturday I had two Carols here for cardmaking too , so my weekend was packed with friendship .

Putting on my DT hat for Make it Monday now .

Last week as usual there was inspiration to burn ! Huge number of entries , high standard of projects and plenty of blog love shared as well .

Autumn tones

Hello blogg friends .Welcome to my room . Hope that you are all well and happy .
All great here .Cool weather of course but still able to walk for coffee in the morning so ..life is good .
So busy right now with DT member duties and Now I have 3 workshops /craft sessions a week .
One of the cards for a session tomorrow is this one .

Natually all ingredients are SU. I simply love Autumn hues .I chose this image because the twig is almost bare of leaves .

Hello , welcome to my room on this chilly night . Hope that you are all well and enjoying some craft time .
First day of Winter here in Adelaide,  but I tell you , I think that it has been here for a week or more already !

Pretty simple I thought,  at first , as I decided  to use top left corner square . Actually it was harder than any of the others I have completed.
 Some times I hesitate to veiw other entries before  I create mine because,  seriously , I feel somewhat intimidated by the awesome talent  shared . This time however I did seek inspiration .
And this is my entry

 Card base is Glossy White . Corner piece is white card covered with DSP adhered to card front .Whisper White for image , Pocket Silhouettes and for sentiment,  Thanks x 2 inked in Basic Brown .
Little flowers and pearl centres from my stash .
