  Ended up being a hot  35 here today .  Doug and I  drove out early for coffee and scones , meeting up with Sandy and Jane at our regular B&B café. Then home to our cool unit .

 Hope that where ever you are and what ever you are up to that you are happily  sharing your day with friends and family .

Hello . Welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in . 

Cooler  weather here in Adelaide and some light showers this morning . But Fran and Sandy brightened my day,  adding sunshine in the form of warm friendship .
Three cards , coffee and nibbles with chit chat and laughter on the side .

One of the cards we made today using an image/ card topper  from a  quick card kit  came from Kraftyhands CD

Short on printer ink so did not print paper from it .Instead I used Paper from SU Paper Stack .

With Friends

Hi there , welcome to my room and thanks for calling in .

Well,  I do hope that you have enjoyed your weekend and are ready for what lies ahead in the new week .

Doug and I watched a lot of TV this weekend with V8 car racing on but I did manage a little cutting , layering paper and card making on the side .

Tonight there is quite a lot of thunder and lightening here in Adelaide . Poor Twiggy has been beside herself even though she is safe inside with us .

Created a card today and will share .

This beautiful image of three women in the garden or maybe the fields is a free image from

Just a 14.5cm square card of SU card stock and floral  paper panel while pink 1st layer is from my stash of unknowns. Please note a little embellishment included ..LOL

Christmas elegance

Hello , welcome to my room and thanks for calling in .

Almost the end of October and I don't have enough Christmas cards . so have to get a move on .
I do have another to share with you tonight .

This one has a die cut image from a  Debbi Moore Art Deco Christmas pack .

 

Card base is SU , paper is LOTV , bow stamp from Lucy's stamps , sentiment from Stamp Art. and pearls from Kraftyhands .

Going to enter this challenge .. The only real rule to link up your cards is to make a holiday or Christmas card.

Hi there , welcome to my room .
Thank you for popping in .

Another hot day in Adelaide . No gopher ride today as it is Tuesday and that means a craft morning with beautiful friends , Sandy and Fran .

Doug was not his usual cheeky self though . I think that the heat got to him and he is tired from the last ride still . I do have to watch him closely in hot weather as he does not like drinking water and if I don't push/ NAG  him to do that he tends to get a bit lethargic . Here is hoping that there is a cool change for tomorrow and he will feel better .

Vintage Christmas

Remember when I said that I was so over Winter?

We have had record hot Spring days and I am thinking that I am not going to like Summer either .

But this morning was beautiful on the banks of the River Torrens . Photos  are on my face book page .

Tonight am sharing a couple of Christmas cards .

Printed material from Kraftyhands Create-It    magazine issue three.

                             This one was printed as for a 6x6 inch card.
                                  Love the images and paper.

 

This second card was for a A5 card  but I printed out as page set up on A5

and every thing came out to scale beautifully.

 

Both card bases were SU card stock from my stash .

Time for Him .

Hi there , welcome to my room .
Thanks for calling in .

Quite cold today . Doug decided not to get up this morning while Sandy and Fran were here for craft  session  . So he and Twiggy just rested and listened to the wireless and dozed on and off.

The girls and I enjoyed each others company while cutting and adhering images to create cards. Thanks to Fran bringing the jar of  gherkin  we could have our usual Jatz , cheese and gherkin serve with our coffee.

Will share two of the cards finished today .

First is a masculine card printed from  kraftyhands CD, Man about Town

                                                   

The card base I made 13cm square. Kit was  printed at A5 page set up .

Hi there . Welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in .
Quite late I know , very nearly tomorrow!

A pleasant day here . No gopher ride though . Doug and I went to local shopping centre for coffee because I had to do some shopping . Later in the afternoon though , Doug went off on his own for to give Twiggy a run . Just over the road so was not gone long .
In the mean time I made a card from Kraftyhands CD , Femme Fatale.

Welcome to my room .
It really is barmy weather .Very warm outside ..may be 28 degrees, Grey skies and very windy . Looks as though we may get rain as well .
I still have cards and  kits to make for craft morning tomorrow so better get cracking . Will quickly share this masculine card firstly.

Would this be called a double fold card?

Now it was not until I added photos to my post that I realised that the tyre image from Kaisercraft die cuts is not of the same era .

It is a long weekend here and the weather is going to be good .
I hope that I get a bit of craft in as well as photography .Had a pleasant afternoon with Sandy,  die cutting and embossing .No dent in my scrap stash but .

Missed me?

Hi there.
Remember me?
I have missed blogging and welcoming you all to my room .

Just mundane life duties for a while  then Daughter , Michelle , and family visited for a few days .
It was great , a real  blast to see them all .Doug and I took them to our favourite parks . Fortunately
there were many koalas, kookaburras and other birds on show so that the Grandchildren could take lots of photos with the new cameras that Granddad had given  them .

But hopefully I can get back into my routine . Have to catch up on blog visits and commenting .
