Today my post is to share my DT card for Christmas Card Challenges  and to let you know that

The only REAL rule is that you must make a new Christmas, Holiday, Hanukkah, or Winter card.

Just a very quick post to share a card .A vintage theme using a post card from Femme Fatale stack by Kraftyhands . Papers from LOTV, sentiment from SU , flowers, butterfly  and bling from my stash

 

and one more I will slip in  as I don't think that I have shared it yet

WHEW it is really late and my nose just hit the key board so better go .

Oh Christmas Tree...

Hello Crafting pals , welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .

Today is my first posting for my new DT spot with Christmas Card Challenges Blog .
I do hope that I have timed this post just right
I had entered this challenge earlier in the month , before being invited to join DT , and I did so because it served two purposes .
One,  I needed inspiration for my own workshops and two because I needed the push /commitment to have enough Christmas cards made for the year for myself  .

Bird song for open- minded challenge

Hello there craft buddies welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in and I hope that you like what you see . Thank you also to some new followers .

We had a great weekend here . After a quick outing in the mornings Doug and I were once again couch potatoes watching V8 racing on TV . My dear SIL came over this afternoon  and enticed me to accompany her for a short walk around a nearby oval . I really needed that , so thank you Carol .

Some news to share .Seeing as how life has settled down again I applied to some challenge blogs for DT positions . 
 So am sharing my excitement tonight as Alanna from http://christmascardchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/
invited me to join the team there .
Hopefully , if I can organise myself and learn the ropes , I will hop on board next challenge .

WHEW , hope that you are still with me as I would like to share a card made today , once again using card and die cut shapes /labels from my stash . I even used a very old SU stamp . Friends 24-7.
The card base is DS patterned from my  SU stash .
And super organised I even found the challenge first .

Hi there chums , hope life is good for you and yours.

Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in . I see new follower ,Donna, and I hope that I can visit her soon .

Had a fabulous afternoon with Jane and Sandy . You know I don't remember having  as  much fun when I was younger . Must be something in the water /tea / coffee here . right girls??

Tonight I jumped right in to kit making . The first thing on the to do list was to grab a hand full of papers 12x12 from my huge stash and some scraps of coordinating card . I am still wading through my stash  . I had already researched my saved card photos and had in mind a card I wanted to make .

The inside has same paper and larger die cut circle for greeting .
                                  

I am using this sample , below ,  as inspiration for  my   masculine card , no fuss no frills and simple to make .

Sharing tonight another Christmas card

For a while now , I have been trying to use up stuff from my stash .Paper,  die cut images , card stock and card kits  along with part packs of post card images .

The card base ,  decorative edge and all here ,  is from SU Simply Sent pack .
The Santa image is from a trimmed post card from Kraftyhands  S for Santa post card stack and the little red rhinestones are from my stash .

Here it is  mid week and all is well .
 Spring is a springing , Doug is a happy chappy ,  Twiggy is ....well,  Twiggy and I am holding my weight so life is good .

Hey , are you over Christmas card making yet ?
I am .  Don't get me wrong I looove creating Christmas cards , browsing through blogs , magazines and pinterest for inspiration .
BUT ... isn't there  always a but!

By the time ..  about this time ,  I find that I have soaked up so much inspiration that I am overloaded but find that nothing I create  ever seems to be  as  amazing , awesome , stunning as that which I see elsewhere.
And that's ok because really , I am happy with my style .

Small card big message

Hi there welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .

It is a cool Sunday here in Adelaide . Not much doing here . Have crock pot on with dinner  simmering .

Doug is dozing in front of TV . Dare not go to switch it off because he will swear that he was watching the movie .

In the mean time ....

I am having another go at using some of my scraps and part kits .

I have some images and sentiments left over from a Kaszazz Christmas kit .

So using some new SU  Crumb Cake Note Cards 12.7cmx8.9cm , because they came with envelopes to match I created these little Christmas gems .

Talk about CAS . I think I will make a few more .  May be another scrap  bag emptied .
