Talk about going outside ones comfort zone !
Just too scared to explore sometimes I think I am .
I have proudly completed my first Upright Diamond Shaped card .

When Adele invited me to create some samples for her I knew that I would have to push myself beyond CAS .
Look , if you can print,  read and follow the design these cards are really quite simple to make .

Once I had mastered valley folds and mountain folds I was on my way to this finished card .

Putting the different pyramage parts together with foam dots was surprisingly  easy and I love the fun  colourful image .

Off now to watch the cricket on TV with Doug .

Friendship

EDIT ..OOOPS this was scheduled  for last night , or so I thought,  but was still in draft ..


Hello from a very cold,  wintry Adelaide .
Tonight I am sharing a tag with the theme , "friendship"

Tag Tuesday has a fine selection of tags to share on the blog , created by a talented group of ladies . I do hope that you pop over to take a peep .

I do believe that the two story book  figures that I have chosen for my tag did become good friends .

I adhered a kraft tag onto some red card and left a small edge .

I cut some images from a 12x12 graphic45 paper,  The Magic of Oz, and added them to bottom of tag . I remember the Tin Man but not the Lion's name .

 

Now off to check out other DT tags and leave some blog love and then as it is already 12 midnight I had better head off to bed before my head hits the keyboard .

Brown card stock base , SU. Paper from stash. Sentiment from SU as is Word Window Punch.

I chose blue back ground for floral image and a bug with  flowers as the  inspiration from the photo below .

Winter is here in Adelaide  with a bang . So here I am with a cup of milo near by crafting away,   quite happy . Hubby is dozing in next room ..Ahhhh Life is good .

I have had this blank  tag for may be 10 years or so and came across it a few days ago  in a container of punched  shapes that I had saved . I stamped images onto white card , placed tag apertures over images and stuck it down . I then stamped face directly onto tag .  Stamps are from TJ designs Rubber Stamps , Song Birds .
Tomorrow is Friday , hooray you say?

Bertie Bear

Hi there , welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .
I bet that you are either freezing or roasting depending on where you live .

Here in Adelaide we are quite cold at about 14 degrees today . So I spent a bit of time in my craft room ..OF COURSE .
I created another card from one of the Ultimate Kits , Bertie Bear Blue

Now most of this card is printed and cut  from the kit .
White card base is from SU . Green layer , topper , sentiment and banner all from kit .
I punched image and sentiment with a small scallop circle punch and a large scallop circle  die, sponging edges with Brocade Blue ink , SU.   I added some bling and a  heart  button .

I have kept true to my  CAS style but some one else might have added more embellishing .
These kits /bundles are easy to download and create with . Takes the stress out of coordinating colours of papers and images as well as embellishments .
