Christmas cards made earlier

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thanks for calling in .
Hi to  visitors and  followers , old and new .
Just wanted to share some Christmas cards I made but have not blogged
All card stock and papers along with any embellishments are from my stash .The images used are free pre coloured vintage images found while browsing on line .Now I just have to find the site to give credit and I will do that as soon as I can

Was so far behind with everything this last month that quick CAS cards were the go . Sorry if my visits to your posts and comments were sparse .I am hoping that as the new year rolls in,  Doug will be better and I will have gained some free time .

Creating with Kraftyhands

A couple of weeks ago I made this card for one of my card mornings with Fran and Sandy .
I think it went down a treat .

A fantastic textures paper stack for male themed cards and scrapbook projects, featuring beautiful textured backgrounds. 2 each of 12 designs.

Another addition to our very popular postcard toppers, this time featuring fabulous vintage transport images, including buses, canal boats, steam trains, aeroplanes, ships and boats, motorbikes, camper vans, traction engines and much more.
One each of 12 designs printed on 190gsm in full colour!

2 x A4 sheets each containing 6 circle toppers featuring vintage transport images. Circles approx 87mm diameter, which will nest with standard dies. Printed on 250gsm cardstock in full colour. 12 toppers in total.

Now , I am sure that one could find papers and an image from this lot to create a fabulous card for any man .

Welcome home

Hi there welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in  .
Hope that you and yours have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas , that you have stayed safe .
Doug and I had phone calls and mail  from our children and other members of the family .Isn't Skype just the next best though when distance is an issue . Love web cam too . Saw our grand children unwrap their pressies from us . So special .
I packed a picnic lunch so that Doug and I could spend  most of the Christmas Day in the park . Because Doug has no hobbies , doesn't read or have any other interests , taking Twiggy [our dog]to the park is his greatest stimulation .
And there-in is my dilemma . Since Doug's last fall I have found my craft time limited so have decided to leave some of my DT spots .
Heck of a Challenge , Artistic Inspirations and Card Crafters Circle .
I had really enjoyed my short stay with them but cannot in all fairness devote as much time as I should to DT duties .
So here I am saying thank you to those in these groups for having me and wishing each,  great challenges in the new Year .

Hi there blog pals .Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .
Hope that you and yours are well and that you are  content with your Christmas preparations .
I am far behind and with our weather of extreme heat , there is no hope of me catching up . Doug has "cabin fever" because we have not been out for park gopher rides and it is a full time challenge to keep him hydrated and cool .
So here I am writing this post in between his catnaps , to schedule for tomorrow posting .

Boy OH Boy

Hi there , welcome to my room and thanks for calling in .
Hope that you all had a fabulous weekend .

Thank you blog pals and craft friends for all the good wishes sent for Hubby , Doug,  after his fall .His cut hand and bruised arm have healed nicely but his confidence while walking with his frame has been shaken some what .
He was slow before but now I could peel an apple and eat it before he gets from the back door to the car .....or the lounge chair to the dining table .
Mind you,  we are grateful that he is mobile at all .
Having said that , once he is on his gopher , the world of travel is his .
He just needs more supervision that's all .

Worth more than gold

My card for this week 's challenge # 105 Golden Days - Use Gold

I have used a punched star from gold card and added gold glitter as my use of gold.  But I chose this beautiful image because it reminded me that the Wonder of Christmas , if you believe it , is worth more than gold .
I don't understand why the glitter on the image has a red tint . Card and paper from my stash ,SU.

Sorry that the photo of inside of card is so ordinary but found it hard to fit open card in that small hole of the camera ...LOL
Seriously though, I did want to show it off . I love that the guess work of matching papers is done by the guys at Kraftyhands .I just print from CD . The front and inside coordinate perfectly along with the sentiment panel .
For the front I layered the front panel onto some brown card stock and added some rhinestones . It really is a CAS card but any one else might add more embellishing .

Ride ' em Cowboy

Hi , it is great to see you here . Welcome to my room . Thank you for calling in .
Hope that you are not getting stressed out with all the Christmas goings on .

To Doug and me it is like Christmas every day . Every day is a bonus , every day we feel it is a new beginning , and grateful for it . We will probably have a ham sandwich in the park on Christmas Day . We will have seen our Children and other family members before,  so depending on the weather , we will be off out and about .

But for now , being Friday it is time for the new Card Crafters Circle challenge # 104 Celebrations

 I wonder if it is age  related , this time flying bit . Or is it a retirement thing ? There just does not seem to be enough hours in a week let alone the month .
Having said all that I had better get on with sharing this months DT card for Heck of a Challenge

                      I added front of card to back with a heart shaped  brad in top left.

 

I saw this card design when blog browsing and will definitely use it  again .
