Happy Birthday tag

Hi there fellow bloggers , hope you are well . Welcome to my room .
Today's card is showcasing a gift from Sue .  Sue sent me some lovely crochet flowers recently and now I thought that they would suit this card . Hopefully Sue thinks so too . Thank you again Sue .
Today's card

The card base is Glossy White . Onto  a smaller piece of  red cardstock I adhered a piece of floral material,  .At the bottom I added some green dot ribbon and lace, before adding to card front .  . I placed Sue's lovely flowers on the left side with pearls as centres . The tag  is from K&Company. And the sentiment is from  Hero Arts.
I also added more pearls in top corners .

Hope that you like this  card as I was quite pleased with my effort to add more embellishments than is usual for me .

Good evening , how are you all ? Welcome to my room . Are you one for sending Valentine cards? I have not for years but I used to leave love  notes if that counts . Doug used to be a cook in a highways camp so he used to be away from home often for a few days at a time . So ...when I packed his bag I would leave little notes in his folded sox for instance or in his toiletry bag . And if I were going to be away from home , which was not often , I would leave little notes in odd places around the home for him to find . Mmmmm memories LOL
Now for today I have made two cards which are so very different in style . No recipe really as they were made with  all sorts from my stash .

This one has a Heidi Grace clear overlay sentiment which says

Love

is the golden thread

that ties our hearts

The floral background is a piece of material that I've had in my stash for EVER!!

The  humorous  card is more along the type of note I would leave in hiding .

A pair of Birthday cards

Goodness 8th January already . Hello there , welcome to my room .
Will share a little of Doug's progress with you . Today he achieved another milestone! He walked quite a distance , with his walker but without me holding onto him . Standing straight up and negotiating table and chair quite well. We are very pleased with his progress .
I hope that you are all well and managing some craft time . I notice that a few of our blog friends are back from Christmas break .
Todays cards are in my usual style , quick and simple ..love them .

All Happy Birthdays

Hi there everyone . Welcome to my room . Hope you are all well and happy . Sharing with you  3 cards I made for todays  session with 3 of my crafting buddies .

Firstly I took an A4 Whisper White card and randomly stamped 3 images  , some second generation stamping done . Inks were Old Olive , Pumpkin Pie , Pacific Point and Baja Breeze [ which has not shown up here ]

Now for the 3 cards . I was inspired by a magazine article read while filling in time at rehab centre with Doug and I have forgotten which it was .

Here I cut 3 squares of the stamped A4 , placed them on a Bashful Blue card, then onto Old Olive card with punched edge and before placing on card front,  I randomly stamped leaf in Poppy Parade ink onto Poppy Parade card base. I stamped sentiment from Well Scripted set in Old Olive and used a tag punch to frame. Only used a self adhesive flower embellishment on tag , before setting onto card front with foam tape .

Sentiment for this one is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments .

I had quite a bit of the stamped A4 sheet left so might make another two cards [ or more ] and show you later . I still like to use this idea occasionally even though I have a mountain of paper stock on hand .
For all cards I used ..Poppy Parade , Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie ,  Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock.

Swap card for Ally

Hello Blogging friends . Welcome to my room . These days it is taking me longer to create , photograph and post,  but that's ok,  just as long as I DO!   And I'm sorry I don't get to comment  on your blog as much as I should , even though I do visit as  many of you as often as I can .
I would like to share , with you, a swap card which is WELL OVERDUE! Sorry Ally.
.......dry embossing , with just two layers one 3D
Not sure that the  3D sentiment is classed as a layer but this is what I came up with .

The card base is Rose Red and the embossed layer is So Safron. The embossing folder is Elegant Bouquet SU / Sizzix. The sentiment, from Every Day Messages ,  in Rose Red, has been punched out with SU Curly Label Extra Large . I added colour to centre of flowers  with a marker and a self adhesive pearl.

Using a Sizzix Trading Card diecut for two layers as insert , with a little embossing in one corner .

Hope Ally thinks it suits our  swap and hope you like it too.

Old Car

Hello everyone . Hope you are enjoying your day where ever you are and what ever you are doing .
Welcome to my room . I have had so many emails , phone calls and facebook messages today with Birthday Wishes , I feel quite spoilt . The nicest pressy  I recieved today was from 3 wonderful little boys who sang the best, the loudest,and the most cheery  rendition of Happy Birthday Nanna anyone could ever wish to hear. ...Thank you Michelle .
In between all this joy , I did manage a card .

Am getting frustrated with photos though . My sentiments often get blurred . May be I will have to look for a new camera .

All cardstock is from SU the image is from Kaszazz and dsp from Kaisercraft.

Have to top up Male card and Youth card stash , so after a couple more

Sympathy cards will have to start on those .

Get Well

Happy New Year to all my friends , old and new . May health and Happiness be yours in abundance .
Too late a night last night . Not that I saw the new year in,  but was woken by others celebrating . I tell you this only because I had a nanny nap this afternoon instead of making a card .
