Last Christmas card this year .

Hello there. Welcome to my room . Thank you for taking time out from busy festive season activities to call in .
Another really hot day here in Adelaide .. I have to be so careful, for Doug feels the heat and can get a little worse for wear. The hardest thing is to get him to drink..WATER. I'm thankful he is a teatotaller  but he hates to drink plain water .
Tonight I thought that I would share my last Christmas card for 2012.. Not that I made many ..no where near enough . So if I did not send you one please dont take it personal. I really do think kindly and often   of all my friends . I will try to do better next year.

Card stock from SU and paper from6"paper pad.Kaisercraft. The flower and leaf  are  cut from paper in same pack . Sentiment  inside is diecut from bought inserts . .Message on front is from SU. The house image is a card topper ..I think from Lily of the Valley.

Only 10 days to Doug's 75th birthday still no card made for him YEEEK!!!  What am I doing with my time ???

Hot and steamy Wednesday.

  Has a nice ring to it doesn't  it  ?
The weather is hot and steamy , with thunder rumbling around and large rain drops evaporating on the hot driveway. We don't like this weather at all , Doug , dogs or me .
So thought that I would pop on PC to share with you another masculine card .

Card from SU , paper from stash and sentiment .'.birthday ' part of an unnamed stamp . The car is from a sheet of many cars. A friend shopped it for me and the packet had no name on it ..
The letters for ' happy ' have  been diecut ..

                        This came to mind as at this time of year we have lots of visitors and cuppas with cake..also we have been eating  out a lot lately ..

I do walk a lot .., like that's negative gearing , isn't it?

Monday's pot of flowers.

Hello , thank you for calling in . Welcome to my room , be you a  new visitor or a regular one , I hope you enjoy your browsing . Welcome  too, a new follower, Anne-Elise.

How has your week been?
Some of my visitors have been freezing and shovelling snow,  while others are beach lounging in Summer heat .
Here in Adelaide we are sweltering under a Summer sun .
 We had a bit of a scare  last week ..Our Twiggy ran off and left Doug at the park . Doug and I with our two dogs walked/ gophered  around the block and as we drew close to home I decided to continue home with older dog Jacki while Doug went over  to the park . He usually lets Twiggy off her lead , just inside the gate . This he did ,but this time Twiggy decided to see where I went .
Well....! Doug came home in a real state ! Both raced back to park ,  then in different directions around the block ..I raced back inside to ring council but there was a message on our answering machine ..The lady right at the end of our village had left a message to say that Twiggy was with her .
SIGH!!! Twiggy had crossed the very busy road and came home , found door shut so went on down driveway to back gate where our neighbour found her and took her inside to wait for me .
We have not had Twiggy long but she is so loved ..

So being in a better frame of mind now , I can enjoy today and the Make it Monday Linky Party..

 I don't know why, but I just cannot get into the frame of mind needed to organize that which I need to do for Christmas . No addressing of cards yet , no stocking up of food stuff or extra cleaning of windows . You know what I mean ?
Doug will be 75 on the 23rd of December and I have not made his card yet !!!
