New DT members Announced for ...

Hi there everyone , no card to share today but I do have some news from

While we were sad to see a couple of our other DT members leave us, we are thrilled to be welcoming the following ladies to the CCC team. I'm sure you are going to love what they create for you each week.

Here's a bit about them.

I am a recently reformed full-time Accountant/Financial Analyst, now a full-time Mom/part-time PaperCrafter in Middle TN. This means I'm usually puttering around the house running after the kids, husband or 3 cats, and cleaning up after all of the above. I've been married to my college sweetheart for 17 yrs. We have two little piglets (ages 9 and 11) whom we are quite fond of (most of the time). Occasionally, I sneak off to my crafty space to create and hide from the mayhem. I love to peruse fellow addicts' blogs, Pinterest and challenge blogs for inspiration any chance I get. I am shamefully addicted to all things associated with this hobby.

I’m so excited to be joining the team at Christmas Card Challenges. As an avid card maker, Christmas cards are my absolute favorite and I never seem to have enough. I look forward to playing along with other Christmas card “sisters” over the next few months.

I'm Rema from Wisconsin and have lived in the Midwest all my life. I have two grown children that have left the nest and have families of their own.  I have been a crafty person most of my life and didn't get the stamping bug till 2009. I recently married again in October this year to the man I have been with for the past 20 years. He supports this addiction of mine and my decision to retire at an early age. I also love to travel, garden and shop on-line.

Hi! I'm Laurie and I live in Northern Minnesota. I started paper crafting 9 years ago when my hubby and I became empty nesters, and were looking for new hobbies. One day at work I was eating lunch and noticed a Stampin' Up catalog on the table. I took one look and was hooked! I have spent our long, cold Minnesota winters happily paper crafting ever since! I'm so excited to be a designer at the Christmas Card Challenge. My favorite kind of cards to make are...you guessed it...Christmas!!!

Hi, I’m Susan Powell from British Columbia, Canada.  I’ve been a crafter in one way or another ever since I can remember, but over the last few years card making has become a passion. Thankfully my husband is very supportive of me and all the time I spend stamping. I can’t wait to get home from my day job as an Education Assistant at a local elementary school, so that I can play in my craft room.  I enjoy making all styles of cards, but lately my style tends to lean more towards clean and simple. I am thrilled, honored and thankful for the opportunity to be part of the CCC design team.

Hope that you all will show them some blog love as they share with you in the following challenges .

Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.

Catching snowflakes

Hi there , welcome to my room and blog post , where I hope you like what you see and I  invite you to browse through earlier posts .
Welcome , thank you too, the new followers to my posts .I hope that you let me know when you visit.  .

Weather this week has been hot and cold .Annoying fickle weather .

Doug and I have not been out much because Doug is not 100% and now is quite miserable with himself . Thankfully we both like watching cricket and that's what we have been doing .
Of course when Doug dozed off I nicked into my craft room for a bit of R&R.

Right now it is time for me to share my quick DT card  for Christmas Card Challenge #52

Thick White from SU for card base , Real Red card , SU is embossed  . Image from LOTV. Bling from my stash .

Wonderful number of entries for challenge #51 and it was a pleasure to visit those I did .
Congrats to the winner and to the top 3 . Well done.
Super samples from the DT . Hope that you got to visit them too .

Silver and Black beauty

Yawn ..Yawn oops almost split my face in half !

Just waiting for Michelle to come on FB to swap good nights .

Huh ! Awake now with sore nose as I just hit the key board with my face . Oh why do I stay up so late ?

Hey , don't go , come into my room for a minute . This is just a short post .I was clearing away today's  gear from the craft morning with Sandy and Fran and I thought I would like to share the Sympathy card from one of the kits I made .

I got the idea for the design from Pinterest .

Hey , how about the photo .Taken outside so nipped a flower from one of the pots .

Trying to use up some stash here . card base is Quartz Shimmer , while the paper  panel is from an A4 sheet of Cristina Re  embossed paper.
Sentiment is from  older SU set .
I cut the C6 card base and another piece the same size as the front of the card .
I adhered the image which was cut 5 cm wide on front of card .Then I cut the extra layer so that  I had two panels that just overlapped the paper strip . With foam dots I added them to card front on either side of paper panel . I punched out the sentiment and with foam dots added it to card as shown .

Well there you are , hope you like the card .

Found a challenge to enter

Wow , and now it is midnight .
Top of the day to those just starting their day and sleep well to those who are closing their eyes .

Hope that you have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today .

Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne

Down the chimney .

Hi there. Welcome to my room , thanks for calling in .
Wishing everyone a pleasant week ahead .

A new little grand daughter , Noomi ,  our Son and DIL came to visit so this week has been filled with happy memory making moments .

Just happened to be the hottest of days though . So indoors under aircon was the order of necessity.

A side note though , Noomi is in hospital as I schedule this post . Praying that she is responding to the wonderful medical care .

All set to share my DT card for Christmas card  Challenge #51

Card base is SU , Crumb Cake . Paper and image from  Kraftyhands . Sentiment from SU,   Petite Pairs
Bling from my stash .

How inspiring it is to view the wonderful shares / entries  we get each week . To see the multitude of images , paper and card combinations . Some CAS and some that are more intricate and abundantly embellished  but all are pleasing to the eye .
I am sure all visitors think  the same goes for the DT samples too .

Santa is the man

Hi there you all . Welcome to my room where I do hope that you like what you see .

Now before I begin my post I bow my head in Prayer . Of course I have added my own thoughts but I had used these words, found on the link provided,  as inspiration / a guide.

Prayer for Victims of Terrorism
Anonymous

Loving God,
Welcome into your arms the victims of violence and terrorism.
Comfort their families and all who grieve for them.
Help us in our fear and uncertainty,
And bless us with the knowledge that we are secure in your love.
Strengthen all those who work for peace,
And may the peace the world cannot give reign in our hearts.

Jingle All The Way

Hi there . Welcome to my room .
Thanks for calling in .

How is your paper crafting going ? Card making or scrap booking .? Or are you into sketching ,painting or whittling ?  WHAT ? I hear you ask . Yes , you right at the back there .
You thought that I did not hear you , well whittling is another way to keep your hands busy .

Whittling may refer to the art of carving shapes out of raw wood , using a knife,  or a time occupying
non artistic process of repeatedly shaving slivers from a piece of wood .
I once saw some one whittling a fine horse shape from a bar of soap.

Where am I going with this ?  Well , no where really . Just wanted to know how many people will actually read my chatter .

What I am supposed to be doing is sharing my DT make for
