good company , good time .

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thank you so much for sharing some time with me .

No card tonight . Although I have made cards and kits for Tuesday girls , I'll post them Tuesday night , I think .
Wow , I had a wonderful afternoon  today  .
Kay , one longstanding  SU buddy   and her friend , Judith , organised an afternoon for crafties like myself at our local library. The room was a great venue , bright and cheery and tea/ coffee facilities too .

I did a lot of diecutting on my Big Shot , while others made cards or addressed their Christmas card envelopes , ready to post .
I loved the fact that the library is only a 5 minute walk from home .

Hope that your weekend was as good as mine .

A new park member

Hi there , welcome to my room .
Very hot here in Adelaide today . But weather be hot or cold our dogs need a run so Doug and I went to the nearest park .Luckily I had the new camera , which Doug had bought for me recently .
Managed to capture a new addition to our park . Don't you just love digital cameras ? I took 20 shots then came home and fiddled with Windows to find best shot . Lots of shadows and shooting into sun but with a little ..no lots actually , editing , this is the best I have to share. I could get to like photography !

Back to cards to share . This image is so well used that there is no ID left on block . coloured with various SU markers with aqua pen . Feather from stash .

                                                      Quote today ..

Thinking along the lines of ..although I am sitting in my room appearing like I am doing nothing , I am really searching my memory bank for a particular card design .....

70th Birthday cards

Hello hello hello , nice to see you .
Welcome to my room .  Thank you for popping in .
Hope that your week is going well .
I have been playing with my card making program on my computer .Gosh this is fun , but boy it can run away with time and ink .
I had to create some cards for a 70th birthday.
Plain I think but reasonably happy with mixing and matching computer generated images , papers and sentiments .
I printed out papers added an image and sentiment , then layered onto various card and onto card base .

These little cards took me all afternoon and I really  enjoyed the crafting .
I hope you enjoy the viewing .

A quote for the day ..

Play Time with Meljen designs

Hi there .
Welcome to my room,  where I hope that you enjoy your browsing.

Was it a working weekend for you ? Or did you have a relaxing couple of days?

Doug and I did some  shopping  in our local supermarket and I think from now on until after Christmas I might do the grocery shopping alone .BOY oh BOY !! Was it busy !
Would not be so bad , me thinks , if the managers left the isles clear . Trying to negotiate a wheelchair around stock and shoppers trolleys along with customers who will insist on stopping to chat with their trolleys together , blocking ends of isles is not easy . Nor is it easy remaining polite asking to be excused , "so we can pass"after 5 or 6 times .

Oops , sorry , just a little gripe .

A more pleasant task is writing my post for the new Make it Monday Linky Party.

And of course sharing my card

Card base is Pumpkin Pie , SU. Paper from my stash . The fabulous image is  A Boy and his Wagon .

Thank you to our sponsor for allowing the DT some images to play with .

Wood grain and Vine

Hello , thank you for calling in . Welcome to my room where I hope that you like what you see .
Just another quick post to show a card I made to share at a workshop . I generally have 3 cards and kits to make and take for my friends on Tuesday morning but this week my mojo left me for the last set . So as I usually do, when this happens , I began to browse through my favourite magazine for inspiration .
And so I must acknowledge that I was inspired and motivated by a card by Carolyn Bennie, SA, shown in Readers gallery , Australian Cardmaking Stamping & PaperCraft.
Can't show you of course as I dont have permission from either parties .
But if Carolyn sees this and oks I'd love to share her card here

Chocolate Chip card base, Whisper White layer . Wood Grain image from KaiserCraft
stamped twice on light  tan cardstock. Inks were Creamy Caramel and Soft Suede.
The vine from KaiserCraft, inked in Garden Green . The Bird Collage from Hero Arts, inked with  basic Grey..The large silver brad is from SU

                                                                         inside

Here I stamped image in two colours again overlapping each stamping, on Very Vanilla card. .I used a torn rectangle of paper as a mask and stamped over it to give the sentiment /greeting blank place.
For a slapped up card and a little different from Carolyn's card , I really liked the end result .

Hope that you are enjoying the week and managing to get some crafting  in .
Would like to enter this card in a challenge or two

As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a

challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of

papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago.

growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the

other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to

create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies
