Hi there blogging pals .

Here it is Wednesday ..the day after.

Welcome to my room , haven't been here since the last time .

 Really have to force myself to  "sit'' around, read a little , nibble this and that , watch a little TV and generally do what everyone thinks is... RELAXING .  SIGH!!

When all I would like to do is make a card , stamp , tear, punch, colour    you know what I mean?

Still I did sneak in to make this , hoping it would give me a "fix"

For this quick fix I used an image from a free CD on a magazine .

I think it's a nice card for my stash .
Hope that you are all relaxing now , doing whatever it is that you do on the day after Christmas day.
Did you save any of the Christmas wrapping ?
Just a tip ..if you are going to use wrapping for craft . I cut a small piece , like A4 size or just around whatever image I want to use  , and place on jac paper .Thats double sided sticky sheets .  I then  remove the backing of jac paper and adhere to some card stock .   So the wrapping image  is easier to handle and  to cut with less tearing .

                                                            I believe  that papercraft is a form of art.
                                                             So I understand these words

Can't stay here too long ..have hurt my back somehow and sitting or standing too long in one spot is really quite uncomfortable .

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thank you for popping in .

Went out for our usual coffee and scones at öur B&B cafe ..[ I say ours because we must have 1/2 shares in the place by now after $100s of coffee bought ] and a crafting friend,  Fran , met us to share some cuppa  time . We were chatting about what number one dialed on our mobiles for emergencies .
I was under the impression that 000 was for landline not mobiles .  But a quick check at a Telstra shop squished that notion . So if I need it 000 will work on my mobile .
Nice to know .

Tonight a card made at one of our Tuesday craft   mornings.

 The card base is Always Artichoke , SU,  covered with dsp from my stash .
Two diecut layers , one of Bashful Blue , SU, and the other is the underside of the green paper.
The image has been diecut from a sheet of images from KraftHands. I just embellished with a diecut leaf and a flower from my stash .

I do want to share some of the cards that Doug received for his 75th birthday , which is not until the 23rd of December. The boy in this  ruggedly robust ,  usually manly man ,  could not wait till then so has seen his pressys and cards . All cards are hand made ...

Friends and Flowers .

Oh Boy,  midweek already .

  Hello blogging pals , welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .

Had a senior moment on Monday . I published my DT post  for Make it Monday and forgot to add my POTW . Well , I have edited my post and inserted my POTW . I do hope that you will scroll down to see which entry caught my eye last week.

Tonight though I have a  what I think is a vintage style card  to share .
The image is printed from a CD , the name of which escapes me for the moment .

The card stock is from SU , the paper from my stash . The paper bow is a diecut from Die-namics, MFT,  as is the corner piece.
The centre piece has flowers and butterflys as 3D but I forgot to take photo to show that .
 I love this  type of creating with CDs for quick cards . Bit like baking a cake with a packet mix . Just add a little touch of your own and a little tweek here and there and it becomes an original .
Just the thing when time is short . Hope you like it anyhows..

Hello there , welcome to my room .
Thank you for calling in and I hope that you like the card that I have to share .

We used to have a shack at Morgan on the River Murry.  It was a tin /iron garage of sorts and we had a wood stove and bunk beds along with other  home comforts so we were not really roughing it . We used to play cards, do jigsaws ,  cook crumpets and drown them in butter and honey or vegemite . But what I loved most was the the roller door at one end which  opened up right at the bank of the river  . So in the mornings we would lift the door and watch the morning mist rise from the water while listening to the raucous laugh of the kookaburras. ...SIGH!
When I saw this image on a Whimsy CD. this memory of times past came flooding back .

The card and paper are from SU . The seagull ,  a free image with a magazine and the sentiment is from unnamed set of stamps in my stash .

 

 

I hope that my girls will enjoy making yet another masculine card for our last Tuesday  craft morning for 2012.
