Distressing Vintage look

Hello friends. I  hope that you are all enjoying this special time in good health and with  good cheer.

I was visiting one of my favourite blogs today from Sue , where she shared a distressed creation. Mmmm.. now that is not as dramatic as it sounds .
After you have looked at what Sue inspired me to create , go on to check out this following link to  her distressing entry for today

http://a-consuming-passion.blogspot.com/2010/04/sassy-cheryls5-distressed-country-girl.html

I did not have a contempory image to use so I went vintage instead . the image is cut from a  Le Romantique Collection.
Papers from  docrafts Papermania. A frame  and flower embellishments from my stash of unknowns . Ribbon and brad from SU.  Textured blue card base unknown source.
Greeting is Rub-on from SU.

I imagine that this lady is reflecting on someone near and dear and sending truly heartfelt wishes .
I hope that even if distressing or vintage is not your " thing"  you will like my creation .
Let me know what you think and give me an insight as to what your style is by sharing your blog so I can visit you .
                           Cheers Shirley-Anne

  1. It's so interesting to see other peoples distressed cards Shirley-Anne. Some people think that just sponging the edges makes for a distressed card, and it kind of does!!! BUT if you're going to do it I think you should really go for it!!! I love how you've rolled the edges and left some ....un fixed...... This is an awsome distressed card!! I also like how you added the sentiment.
