Hello ,welcome to my room . Still oh so cold here in Adelaide , only making 14.8 degrees here today . We had an enormous electricity bill the other day but heck we have to stay warm ..
Doug still feeling the effects of his strokes cannot get warm even with his tracky dacks on and t-shirt underneath, so aircon it is . Which means healthy me is running around in only jeans and t-shirt but there you go ; if that's all we have to worry about life is still good .
Made time to make a very special card today . Fran's Mum passed away yesterday afternoon and as Fran comes to my workshops , she would have seen all the Sympathy cards I have so a new one was needed . Am sharing cause it is in the post box already and I am pretty sure she wont see this post .
On the front of card base of Shimmery White I stamped the background stamp Floral in Blushing Bride ink . Diecut and embossed scallop oval for sentiment from Stamp-It. Flower, leaf and bow from my stash .
For the inside I inked Floral in Bashful Blue. Right hand sentiment is from Artee Stamps in Brocade Blue . And because I computer printed the right hand signing in black , I thought a small silhouette image might soften the tag . I chose this background stamp because I know Fran likes the image .
Am entering challenge ..http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.com.au/ words only
Now I have 8 birthday cards needed for September so better sort that lot out .
Might even look around for some challenges later tonight .
My thought for today
A shadow in the parching sun , and a shelter in a blustering
storm , are of all seasons the most welcome; so a faithful friend
in time of adversity , is of all other most comfortable .
- Anne Bradstreet.
Catch you again soon , cheers for now , Shirley-Anne.

Hi Shirley-Anne,
ReplyDeleteThis is so touching - such a lovely card and even lovelier post with a beautiful quote. Love how the card is done with the inside so detailed as well.
Relieved that Fran is with the angels now.
Sorry that your electricity bill was a bit steep... but you needed to keep warm, you are more precious than you know, dear friend.
Love,
Monica
Such a beautiful card!!!
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteYou have made your friend a lovely card - she will see the love in it. I wish I could send you some of our hot weather - seems so funny how our two weathers are so opposite! My electricity bill is frighteningly high - from the air conditioner! Wishing you a happy day today!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane

Thank you for joining in with our 'words only' theme over on the CraftyMess challenge blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card that is very appropriate to the sentiment. The backing paper is very beautiful and I like the little flourish to embellish the card.
I hope you will be entering more of our future challenges on our blog.
