Christmas Joy

Hi there , welcome to my room .  Thanks for calling in .

Am thinking of those who are experiencing terrible weather conditions in America , many of whom have lost so much , many who have been hurt or lost loved ones . Am thinking too of the men and women who, in various capacities, are "on the spot" helping those in desperate need .

 

Just a quick note tonight , sharing a Christmas card in non traditional colours like Chocolate Chip and patterned Kraft card.The image is from Penny Black and the sentiment from SU.

Hi there , great to see you .Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in .

 Well the weather here has finally begun to feel like spring . Now we can be out and about more ..miss my crafting though . Well what has happened since last we were together ?  Oh,  on Friday afternoon Jane came around for some fun crafting .I had a new magazine this time so we browsed through that and she made sure my new mobile no. was in her phone ...too techy for me !!
On Saturday we met up with friends who had been on holidays  and had a daughter's  wedding since last we çaught up so lots to chat about there . Sunday ..more friends , more coffee ..oh my , no wonder I have a weight problem!!
 But , saying that you had a glass of water and a chat just does not have the same ring to it !
      Just thinking aloud here!!

But here it is MONDAY and the new Linky Party #113 is up and away . GOTTA LOVE THAT.

Hi there , welcome to my room . Really appreciate your visit .
Just to share a quick card that was made just for fun ..
Hi to new follower , Pia, thanks for joining in and hope we find inspiration from each other .

Hope, every one ,  that you and yours are all well .
 Finally left our mobile phone set up until we got to a Telstra shop ..  We  decided  to get two mobiles and I could not get the backs off to place the battery in . I know I am a senior but please !! how techy do you need to be to get the back off the phone ..LOL
 All working now and on Tuesday morning  when I had Sandy and Fran here for card making Doug went off on his gopher as usual .I did not hear him return about an hour later and he caught me out by ringing /testing  the phone by ringing me while he was at the back door . I was in a bit of a panic for a moment till I actually heard his voice at the door as well as on the phone .   Doug can be such a prankster!!
but on to my card

 

 

Card base is from essential card kit . I added the Bashful Blue 1/2 circle and the cute  , pre coloured  image  which came from a free disk that came with a magazine . The words are from Hero Arts .

Circle aperture

Hi there.  Welcome to my room and thanks for calling in .
 So very late tonight .Had a great afternoon with Jane and while I did some more cuttlebugging , she made up some card kits I had made earlier .
Jane had bought some craft magazines before she arrived so we began by reading through them . Isn't it amazing how you can  always find something new no matter how many magazines you read?
Was a decent movie on TV tonight so have watched it with Doug .If it were not for the zillion adverts the movie would have finished earlier .
Any way onto my card which was one that was made today .

 

Card base is Naturals Ivory , the butterfly ,  sentiment , ribbon  from SU and papers from my stash .

The circle punch for the aperture is from SU .
The idea for this card design came from blog browseing .The inside has coordinating paper and diecut frame for sentiment

Scallop circle easle card

OOH AHHH, here I am again ! On a roll this week . Over compensating for some time away from crafting ..Hi there , welcome to my room .
 Sun shining today and Doug could go out on his gopher. Bit of a drama there though . He usually goes out for about 1 or 2 hours max but today he left at 1.30pm after lunch and when he had not returned by 4.00 pm I set out in car to look for him . He had told me which park he was going to,  so I went straight there .
Poor Doug , there he was stuck on the path , twiggy was having a ball running around . "What took you so long?"he asked . The gopher had blown a fuse and would not move . We put it in nuetral so I could push it to the car where I had to help Doug into the car to sit while I pushed the gopher home . I then walked back to the car and drove him home . SIGH !! PUFF PUFF!!
Any way to my card .
This was another unusual fold for my crafting buddie Fran .

 

 

                   This one I made first but then found that I did not have enough DSP  to make kits so made this one .

Now I am off to comment on some Make it Monday entries and return comments for some of my visitors .

Stepping out

Hi there . welcome to my room . Hope that you and yours are well . Thank you for calling in . Another cold day here in Adelaide .
 Jane came this afternoon for a bit of crafting .Oh,... she was not feeling too flash ! All stuffy and generally out of sorts ..all this caught from someone else not me !!
I tried to give her lots of TLC. Must have worked as there were 6 cards   made up .
One of which was this .

 

Note the cut front. Both sides of the SU  DSP used on red card base.

 

 

Sentiment from SU and SU punch used for label .The image is from LadybugCraft. Copics  used to colour.
Nice to be feeling better , I tell you , feeling crook is no fun.
Great to be back in my craft room too, sharing time with you guys is best medicine .  .

Unusual fold

Hello blogging pals .

Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in . I have read and  appreciated all the comments left. Hopefully , I will be back to crafting everyday now that I am feeling ..about 90% better.

But of course the weather is back to freezing here in Adelaide for the next few days .

Today I want to share a fabulous shaped card , the design I found on Split Coast Stampers blog.

One of my craft buddies wanted to make some different shaped cards for Tuesday morning session so this was one for Fran .

 

 

 

 

The one on SCS.had a separate piece for bottom section but I chose to make it one complete piece of card . The card base  stock is Marina Mist SU and Very Vanilla for diecuts too .The paper is from SU , Well Worn . The bike image is from SU .
 Our Daughter , Michelle and Family have arrived safely back home in Queensland after their holiday and visit here . It was wonderful to see them all , along with her brothers from the North of our state.

Monday's are Moovelous

Hi there , welcome to my room . I wont get too close though , someone left me with a virus and I am feeling poorly .I must admit though I think it is leaving me as I do feel slightly better .I do believe that the worst is over . A cough that came from my boots , a sore head that blew its top off at any loud sound and a throat which felt as though it had been  scrapped with the harshest sandpaper.
  Does that rate a blog  hug ? 
I must be getting old !!

Hi there everyone .Hope all is just right with you . Welcome to my room and thank you for calling in . My PC is still not working so this is a makeshift post on another.
I am behind with comments and visits and for that I am sorry .Hopefully all will be right at end of this week .

This is my DT card using our sponsors image ,BottleCap Printable.
The T-shirt is a diecut from Die-namics from My Favorite Things . The background paper is a digi paper as is the sentiment tag . I printed out a page of the bottlecap images and punched out one for the T-shirt. of course you cant see it here but I used some crystal effects on it too . I diecut two shirts of different colours and cut to overlap .
