Really a hot Autumn day in Adelaide .Thank goodness the Roundabout venue for my crafting

Tuesday morning is airconditioned .

One of the cards for today was another sneak peek of what's coming up in the new SU Autumn/winter mini catalogue .

White base card , with dsp from SU, Beyond the Garden . The image is from new to come set , SU, Apothecary Art. After stamping I diecut with the Framelits Label Collection . The little sentiment label was stamped twice .Once in brown and again in Rose Red ink .I used a SU 1" circle punch to remove centre of red piece and placed the cutout over brown one. Added a couple of half pearls on sentiment label , before 3D it onto card.

For the inside , a layer of dsp and another label from the same set .

This stamp set and the Framelits Dies has really excited me and I cant wait to find another chance to use them .

My thought for today ..

I began with white 13cm square card and used both sides of this paper .The image is a free vintage image, ' 1920's flappers '. a bow from my stash along with a string of pearls .

And I tissied up the inside with same paper of course .

Party Time

Hi there . Welcome to my room .
Thank you for calling in . Hope that you have had/ or will have a fabulous day .
Beautiful Autumn day here in Adelaide after a rough day yesterday .
I finally had some one call in to see me about renovating my craft room yesterday .
On one hand I cant wait to start this project but on the other hand I am dreading the clearing out of all the boxes and drawers to shift while work in progress.
Did not think about it today though , while I made this card .

A sneak peek at a new image from SU .

The sentiment is a foam stamp I have had since year dot ...The ribbon from my SU stash .
The little brad in corner , from Jelly Bean Sweet Shop collection , also from new Mini .

Hope that you like this little number . I certainly enjoyed putting it together .

Further to my previous post last night . Doug and I decided to change Tiger to Twiggy ..Tiger just did not seem to be right for our new addition to the family .

Jacki meets Tiger

Hi there . Welcome to my room .
So glad you popped to see me , now I can share with you ,an addition to our family .
We introduced Tiger , smaller female on the right , to Jacki ,on the left .

Tiger is a little timid so finds tomboy female Jacki a little intimidating , I think . Tiger is the name the previous owner gave this 16month old pup and we will wait a day or two before deciding if we change it or not .

Jacki is like a little BRICK , weighing in at about 7 kl but tiger is probably no more than 2kl .

So far so good as Tiger seems to be settling in very well , taking to Doug with great affection .Much to Jacki's annoyance.

Any way that's it . Just wanted to share our good fortune .

Our experience today bought this thought to mind ..

One needs something to believe in ,

something for which one can have whole- hearted enthusiasm .

One needs to feel that one's life has meaning , that

one is needed in this world .

Hi there , welcome to my room . Thank you so much for calling in . Hope that you have had a great start to the week . We had a long weekend with beautiful weather . Doug and I spent a great portion of it walking [ Doug gophers ] through some of our precious parks .


Thank you Mary J for popping yourself back on my Followers list . I appreciate all who visit and love the comments ,all of which I read .

Being Tuesday, I had a craft table at the Roundabout this morning .Only two ladies this morning as the other 4 ladies had other things to tend to . Minimum numbers but maximum fun .

Sandy shared some of her Son's wedding photos that she had taken with her phone ..hoping she shares them on her blog later.

Here , as I often do , I let the papers shine and kept the image unadorned . all from SU.

And ditto for second card .

This card fits to a 14cm square envelope.

Am going to have an early night as Doug and I will be off early in morning to have coffee then around to see a man about a dog . We are going to get a second dog . This one is about 8 months old , a small dog and If it likes us we will bring it home with us . Our Jacki is 13 or so years old and we would like to have another dog settled in and trained before she passes . We have been so lucky in that we have always had wonderful dogs and I am hoping this one will be the same .
Any way I will say goodnight , leaving you with this thought ...
