Christmas card collection
Hello everyone , welcome and thanks for calling in.
Yesterday I made several Christmas cards but could not scan them because some had kindyglitz on them which took a while to dry .
I was inspired by Michelle's cards, in which she created her own stamped background . I have used SU sets Circle Circus and Seeing Spots with SU inks Real Red , Garden Green and Pacific Point stamped onto Whisper White and cut into panels .
Using different card stock /dsp scraps and SU Timeless Type Junior Alphabet I adhered JOY to bottom of card....This one has glitter on letters .
While this one has JOY made out of dsp.
If unsure about how neatly you can align the letters you can opt to stagger them as I have to create a fun effect which, in this case I thought was in keeping with the fun panel.
The alphabet is a great way to use up really small pieces of card and paper scraps as you don't have to cover the whole die if you don't need all the letters on it for your project.
And the embossing folders don't need to have full coverage of card / paper either. Here on this card the panel scrap was embossed as is , only needing to be trimmed at the bottom .
The red ribbon scraps , too small to create a bow, were just enough to lay behind SU 1 3/4" punched circle . The lower casing letters fitted inside circle just right and I glittered these too . The star was made using SU small star punch .
Was on a roll yesterday with other projects completed but they will appear on another posting as I thought that I would place all the Christmas cards on this post . That way if you are following the challenge to make 50 Christmas cards by 1st December set by Robyn
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=19340
you can see all mine under my label Christmas Wishes found on side bar.
This last card for the day involved a little more measuring and cutting . It began as a DL sized card . SU Old Olive is the card base with dsp and Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White additions. SU stamp set , Greetings Galore image used in two parts .
I just measured 2.5 cms from bottom right side and cut to that point from top right corner. I stamped tree image twice on white , cut one out and layered direct onto the other . Just to add dimension .
I made two asymmetric squares [Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White ] and adhered it as shown with Stampin' Dimensials. The words from same image I stamped onto a rectangle of Pumkin Pie and added a brad to left side then adhered with Stampin' Dimensials as well.
Well that was a long post wasn't it? Still I hope you were interested and enjoyed your visit.
I love having you here so let me know that you visited by leaving a message which I will
take as an invite to visit your Blog.
See you soon , cheers Shirley-Anne
