Ribbon Flowers

Hi there , hope you are all having a wonderful day.
Thank you for calling in .

I am trying to ' get ahead ' with workshop cards and have been trying out a new technique . I don't know if there is a true 'techi name ' for this , but a few days ago Michelle , sent this idea . Using a 1/2'' ribbon and a 1 3/4" punched circle card stock and the snail adhesive .
I ran the snail along one  lower edge of the ribbon and began to run the ribbon  around the circle .

As I wound the ribbon I crinkled it and pressed it together and onto circle .
Which ever way you hold ribbon and circle is up to yourself . You may be left handed and be more comfortable holding and folding differently.

Continue crimping and adhering to card circle till meeting at centre .

You may want to crimp tighter and /or keep edges of ribbon closer together.

In this case I punched a flower and used  a SU brad for the centre of  the flower .
Now here are some cards on which  I have used my flowers

So there you go ..YOU CAN TEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS .
So I hope you enjoyed that . Catch you again soon .
Cheers Shirley-Anne

  1. Great job, looks fabulous. I only figured out to do it this way cause I couldn't use a needle and thread to save my life.
